Publication number: 20090185875Abstract: The invention relates to a machining tool having a determined or non-determined cut and to a method for the production thereof. The tool is provided with a hard metal substrate (10). A diamond or DLC layer (12) is applied to the substrate (10). Several edges (16) are formed by abrupt alteration of layer thickness in the surface of the diamond or DLC layer (12). The diamond or DLC layer is applied using a CVD method. The diamond layer is applied using a CVD method and the DLC layer is applied using a PVD or CVD method. A mask (14) is applied to the layer. The edges (16) are produced by etching points on the surface that are not covered by the mask. As a result, it is possible to significantly increase the functionality of the tool. The edges (16) can be used as additional cutting edges or free areas can be transformed for discharging coolants or lubricants and removed material.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2005Publication date: July 23, 2009Applicant: CemeCon AGInventor: Martin Frank

Publication number: 20090152887Abstract: A flap configuration has a flap for closing a receptacle and a closing slide guided displaceably parallel to the flap plane in the closing slide guide. The closing slide is inserted with one end into a latching opening in a wall and brought out of engagement with the latching opening by a closing slide drive against a spring force by way of a latch element guided in the latching opening. In an opposite receptacle wall from the latching opening, a guide opening is positioned coaxially with the latching opening and the closing slide guide. In the latching opening, a closing latch biased in the direction of the closing slide is guided, and engages, when the flap is latched in place, in an open end of the closing slide guide. The closing slide drive unlatches the flap.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2008Publication date: June 18, 2009Applicant: Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Patent number: 7367583Abstract: An instrument panel has a passenger airbag system such that, in the deployment of the airbag, an airbag cover on the top side of the instrument panel adjacent to the windshield is upwardly displaceable in the direction of the windshield about a transverse pivot axis. Thereby, a passage for the actual airbag of the passenger airbag module is cleared. In order to prevent damage to the windshield due to the airbag cover being pivoted upward when the airbag is deployed, a transverse intended breaking line is provided on the airbag cover at a distance from the pivot axis so that the airbag cover is bent upward about this intended breaking line when it comes to rest against the windshield.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2004Date of Patent: May 6, 2008Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Publication number: 20080053288Abstract: The invention pertains to improvements in stringed instruments, particularly plucked and/or strummed instruments with sound boxes and the string support structure of same. The invention also pertains to enhancing the sound output of the instrument. A string support system that is structurally independent of the sound box eliminates the necessity to brace, or otherwise reinforce the soundboard to resist the substantial tension of the strings, thus substantially reducing the soundboards stiffness and mass, and greatly improving its ability to respond to the vibration of the strings. Furthermore, the invention enables the transmission of vibrating string energy to the soundboard without imposing any stresses upon said soundboard that are due to the static tension of the strings. The invention eliminates tension-induced distortion and damage to the sound box that is common to traditionally constructed instruments.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2006Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventor: Martin Frank Brunkalla

Publication number: 20080038905Abstract: A compound metal comprising HfSiN which is a n-type metal having a workfunction of about 4.0 to about 4.5, preferably about 4.3, eV which is thermally stable on a gate stack comprising a high k dielectric and an interfacial layer. Furthermore, after annealing the stack of HfSiN/high k dielectric/interfacial layer at a high temperature (on the order of about 1000° C.), there is a reduction of the interfacial layer, thus the gate stack produces a very small equivalent oxide thickness (12 ? classical), which cannot be achieved using TaSiN.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2007Publication date: February 14, 2008Applicant: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Alessandro Callegari, Martin Frank, Rajarao Jammy, Dianne Lacey, Fenton McFeely, Sufi Zafar

Publication number: 20060219158Abstract: The invention refers to a method and apparatus for CVD coating and to a coated body. To improve the mechanical properties of the structure and surface of the body and to make the method and apparatus as simple and cost-effective as possible, it is suggested in the method, in which a layer is deposited on a substrate in a carbon-containing gas atmosphere: that the process parameters be varied during the coating period in such a way that during the coating period a first operating mode and a second operating mode are repeatedly alternated, wherein in the first operating mode a higher carbon over-saturation of the gas atmosphere occurs near the substrate, and in the second operating mode a lower carbon over-saturation of the gas atmosphere occurs near the substrate. In this way, a body can be produced with a substrate and at least one layer deposited on the surface of the substrate, wherein the layer consists of nano-crystalline diamond.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2004Publication date: October 5, 2006Applicant: CEMECON AGInventors: Dirk Breidt, Oliver Lemmer, Martin Frank
