  • Publication number: 20090024399
Abstract: To form an audio signal, frequency components of the audio signal which are allotted to a first subband are formed by means of a subband decoder using supplied fundamental period values which respectively indicate a fundamental period for the audio signal. Frequency components of the audio signal which are allotted to a second subband are formed by exciting an audio synthesis filter using an excitation signal which is specific to the second subband. To produce this excitation signal, an excitation signal generator derives a fundamental period parameter from the fundamental period values. The fundamental period parameter is used by the excitation signal generator to form pulses with a pulse shape which is dependent on the fundamental period parameter at an interval of time which is determined by the fundamental period parameter and to mix them with a noise signal.

  • Publication number: 20070286276
Abstract: In on aspect, user data is decoded which has been coded as base data and refining data, wherein the base data is decoded using a first delay and the refining data is decoded using a second delay which is longer than the first delay. Furthermore, a check establishes whether the refining data is available in accordance with a time parameter. If the check result is positive, the decoded base data is additionally delayed, the additionally delayed decoded base data is mixed with the decoded refining data, and resulting mixed data is output as user data. If the check result is negative, however, the decoded base data is output as user data.

  • Publication number: 20070282604
Abstract: In one aspect, a noise suppression process for a decoded signal comprising a first decoded signal portion and a second decoded signal portion is provided. A first energy envelope generating curve and a second energy envelope generating curve of the first signal portion and of the second decoded signal portion are determined. An identification number depending on a comparison of the first and second energy envelope generating curves is formed. An amplification factor which depends on the identification number is derived. Multiplying the second decoded signal portion by the amplification factor, reduces pre-echo and post-echo interference noises.

  • Patent number: 6856678
Abstract: A method for updating call redirection destinations, in which a call redirection destination which has been changed by a user entry on a first subscriber terminal is stored for a second subscriber terminal, which forms a point of origin for a call redirection, in an associated memory together with the point of origin of the call redirection as call redirection information. The stored call redirection information is sent to a control unit associated with the second subscriber terminal. The control unit checks whether a call redirection indicated by the call redirection information has been set up. A call redirection is set up on the basis of the result of the check.

  • Patent number: 6785381
Abstract: A telephone having a hands-free mode of operation. The telephone includes a pair of microphones spaced apart from each other. Each microphone receives sound in hands-free mode of operation and provides audio signals representative of received sounds. The audio signals from each microphone may be converted to digital audio signals. The digital audio signals are presented to a fixed delay path and a variable delay path. Audio signals from both paths are combined and filtered in an adjustable filter to remove noise based upon a prior determination of the noise source location and the voice spectrum derived from the digital audio signals.

  • Publication number: 20020009186
Abstract: A method for call forwarding in a communications network in which a single first subscriber line and at least one second subscriber line provided for a call transfer originating from the first subscriber line are assigned to a call acceptance group. A call made to the first subscriber line is forwarded within the call acceptance group to the second subscriber line and/or is signaled there for call answering.

  • Publication number: 20020001377
Abstract: A method in which at least one memory, which is associated with at least one first subscriber connection, is used to store a cross-reference to a second subscriber connection whose state is signaled at the first subscriber connection. For allocation of the first subscriber connection to a first communications system and allocation of the second subscriber connection to a second communications system, the at least one first subscriber connection is allocated group information, and the group information is stored, for message compression, in a memory which is associated with the second subscriber connection. Furthermore, in the event of a state change of the second subscriber connection, a message relating to the state change is sent with the group information to the first communications system, for transmission of a message with information about the state change to the first subscriber connection.

  • Patent number: 5840114
Abstract: A high early strength admixture for precast hydraulic cement comprises a calcium salt and a copolymer having a carbon-containing backbone to which are attached cement-anchoring members, such as carboxyl groups, and to which are also attached oxyalkylene pendant groups by linkages selected from the group consisting of amide and imide members. The copolymers used are preferably formed by reacting an acrylic polymer with ammonia or an alkoxylated amine. The calcium salt, preferably calcium nitrite, and the copolymer can be added simultaneously as one admixture, or separately. The invention relates also to methods for enhancing high early strength in concrete, cement, masonry, and mortar mixtures generally, and to precast concrete particarly, and also pertains to such hydraulic mixtures containing the calcium salt and copolymer.
