  • Publication number: 20230294377
Abstract: The invention relates to a contoured structural element (100) for use as a core layer in a curved sandwich composite element, the contoured structural element (100) being formed from a thermoplastic foam, in particular PET, the contoured structural element (100) being subdivided, except for a connecting layer (12), into a plurality of body elements (10), and the body elements (10) and the connecting layer (12) being aligned parallel to a base area (26) of the contoured structural element (100) which is in a planar state. According to the invention, at least one surface layer (16) of the connecting layer (12) and the adjoining surface layer (18) of the body elements (10) at least partly have a thermally densified layer (14); the body elements (10), the connecting layer (12) and the thermally densified layer (14) being made of the same material.

  • Publication number: 20220332002
Abstract: A method for producing a hard-foam film, for use as a core layer in sandwich composite elements, having an increased compressive strength along a thickness extension extending perpendicularly to its surface extension, from a foam block (3) of a thermoplastic, extruded, in particular partially crystalline and/or closed-cell, plastic rigid foam material, PET.

  • Patent number: 9533468
Abstract: A structural element for use as a core layer in a sandwich composite element, wherein the structural element (2) is formed from a plurality of mutually welded body segments (4, 5) made from an extrusion foamed thermoplastic, and wherein the structural element (2) has a first face side (1) for bonding to a cover layer, wherein a surface of the first face side (1) that can be loaded with a resin (8) has open pores (6), wherein the surface of the first face side (1) is created by hot-element cutting, in such a manner that the surface is thermally sealed to some extent, wherein a gloss value of the surface of the first face side (1), measured at 60° in accordance with DIN 67530-1982 is between 2 and 10 gloss units.

  • Patent number: 7671504
Abstract: An electric motor is disclosed with an air-cored winding which is composed of a plurality of single coils made of wire, wherein the single coils overlap each other in an imbricated manner and the single coils are preformed to form an offset at least in the region of two opposite corners, so that half of the legs are located in a first plane and half of the legs are located in a second plane. A more inexpensive and more robust assembly of air-cored windings for electric motors can thereby be achieved.
