  • Publication number: 20150088404
Abstract: A motor vehicle has a drive device, a control device for shutting down the drive device, a detection device for monitoring a presence of a person in the motor vehicle and a switching device for shutting down at least one predetermined electrical load. The control device is designed to shut down the drive device if the detection device signals that the person is leaving or has left the motor vehicle. The switching device is designed so that, following the shutdown of the drive device, it initially continues to operate the at least one predetermined load if said load was in operation at the time of the shutdown, and shuts it down only if a predetermined additional shutdown criterion is met.

  • Patent number: 8909461
Abstract: An automatic shut-off of the engine of a motor vehicle is only activated if the motor vehicle has been moved according to a specific criterion after the last starting procedure of the engine. The undesired shut-off of an engine can thus be prevented in some situations, such as e.g. when a garage is being opened or when ice is being scraped off the windows of a motor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20140039746
Abstract: A control device for controlling operation of a motor vehicle having an electric motor in at least three operating states. In a first operating state, the motor vehicle is off; in a second operating state, the motor vehicle is on and the electric motor is not controllable; and in a third operating state, the motor vehicle is on and the electric motor is in operation. The control unit includes a basic control element for turning the motor vehicle on and off, and a gear-shift control element for selecting a gear-shift stage. The motor vehicle can be switched from a first operating state to a second operating state by a signal from the basic control element when the motor vehicle is turned on, and from the second operating state to the third operating state with the gear-shift control element by selecting a gear-shift stage associated with the third operating state.
