Abstract: A pogo stick or like device is provided and includes at least one illuminatable or illumination means. The pogo stick may have a frame including a tubular member. The tubular member may extend substantially longitudinally, may be located substantially co-axially with a central axis of the pogo stick, and may include a structural member. The pogo stick may have a pair of handles extending from the frame and may have platform means. The illuminatable or illumination means may include at least one vertically extending member, and beneficially a pair of illumination means, each including a vertically extending member located on either side of the tubular member.

Abstract: There is disclosed a vehicle, for example, a self-propelled and/or pedal vehicle such as a tricycle, bicycle, scooter, micro-scooter, or collapsible scooter, for example, adapted for use by children or infants. Accordingly, a self-propelled vehicle comprising illuminatable direction indicator means comprising left turn and right turn indictor means, which selectably operate by turning of a steering means or column of the self-propelled vehicle to the left or to the right, respectively, the steering means or column comprising handlebars in one embodiment. The self-propelled vehicle may comprise a tricycle.

Abstract: An improved scooter incorporates a novel or novelty illumination or lighting effect. Scooters have undergone an upsurge in popularity in recent years, e.g. because of innovation such as folding scooters and micro-scooters. There is provided a scooter or other self or foot propelled vehicle or the like having a platform for supporting a user, the platform having an upper surface having illumination means. The platform comprises a foot-plate, and is at least part transparent or translucent. The platform comprises a first portion extruded from metal and a second portion, which is at least part transparent or translucent, and preferably made from a plastics material.

Abstract: The vehicle, e.g. a scooter, has a footboard 116 with side edge channels 130, each housing a rod or tube 112 forming illumination. The rods or tubes are connected to power means, comprising a battery or dynamo. Each rod or tube can comprise a transparent or translucent polymeric sheath for a series of LEDs. A switch provides on/off control and can provide different modes of illumination of the LEDs. The scooter can be a foldable micro-scooter.
