  • Patent number: 9650001
Abstract: A battery arrangement for electrical loads in a vehicle for transporting hazardous waste includes: a battery having at least a first terminal, electrically connectable to an electrical load; a first electrical resistor electrically connected in series to the battery and a second terminal, the second terminal being electrically connectable to the electrical load; and a switch component connected electrically in parallel to the first electrical resistor and connected electrically to the battery. The switch component is controlled such that a first voltage applicable to a third terminal and having a value exceeding a specifiable value closes the switch component and the first resistor is short-circuited. When the applicable first voltage falls below the specifiable value, the switch component opens and the short-circuit is broken.

  • Patent number: 6150811
Abstract: A magnetic field sensor consists of a cylinder (2) with a core of premagnetized amorphous ferromagnetic metal. The inductance of the coil (2) is controlled by earth magnetic field H.sub.E and forms part of an L.C. oscillator (1). An adjusting device is provided to smooth out fluctuations from a target value in the oscillator frequency caused by the action of the field H.sub.E on the oscillator coil (2). This is done by allowing another adjustable magnetic field to influence the inductance (2) of the oscillator (1): the adjustable magnetic field is generated by a second coil (3) in the form of a compensating coil and the current flux (1) through the second coil (3) is controlled by the adjusting device in such a way that the magnetic field generated by the second coil (3) compensates for the action of the field H.sub.

  • Patent number: 6144927
Abstract: A data-transmission device has a pulse generator (1) and a monitoring unit (20) for use in a vehicle. A signal generated by the sensor (2) is transmitted from the pulse generator (1) to the monitoring unit (20) by a signal line (9) and also, when requested by the monitoring unit, is transmitted in encrypted form along a data line (19). The signal generated by the pulse generator (1) is first stored in an intermediate store. Before transmission, the contents of this store are encrypted. On arrival in the monitoring unit, the encrypted signal is compared with the signal previously transmitted in the usual way and recorded there. This is a security check which reveals any manipulations which have been made during transmission.

  • Patent number: 5621399
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for an analytical function generator with a capacitive differential transducer for editing the signals measured by the differential transducer into a transmittable signal at the output of the circuit arrangement which comprises two coupled RC-oscillators, wherein a first of the two oscillators is arranged in the feedback of the second of the two oscillators and the capacitance of the two oscillators is formed by one of the two partial capacitances of the differential transducer, two bistable trigger circuits connecting the two oscillators with one another, wherein one of the two trigger circuits causes a level inversion, and a gate for the linkage of the partial signals appearing at the output of the two trigger circuits so that a logic twin pulse signal corresponding to the measured magnitude or variable is generated at the output of the gate.

  • Patent number: 5416703
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the automatic determination of the assignment of directional sensors to the moving directions of a vehicle is described wherein signals and/or their time derivatives, obtained during specific time intervals, from sensors associated with a measuring device which are utilized for acquiring the dynamics of a vehicle are linked-up with signals generated by a system of the vehicle which is assigned, in an explicit and previously known manner, to the movement direction of the vehicle. The method and apparatus achieves, in the operation of the data acquisition apparatus, the automatic assignment of the moving directions of the vehicle to the sensors of the measuring device.

  • Patent number: 5412570
Abstract: An apparatus for recording driving data which comprises a data gathering device, which further comprises a sensory measuring device, a control unit, an A/D converter, a plurality of parallel ring storage devices and a semiconductor storage device. Analog measurement signals, which are continuously detected by the sensory measuring device, for recording a vehicle movement, are continuously sensed by the control unit with two different frequencies after being digitized into digital measurement signals in the A/D converter. The digital signals are stored in the plurality of parallel ring storage devices with clock frequencies.
