Patent number: 11941142Abstract: Methods for using SQL statements to access an application-server-managed database are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a user sends, either directly or indirectly (i.e., remotely) a SQL statement from an ODBC application or server, respectively, to an application server that preprocesses SQL statements for accessing data from a centralized database. The application server may have a SQL endpoint, and access to the SQL endpoint may be determined by a user's logon credentials, a user's presentation of a SAML token, or a user's presentation of a valid certificate. The application server may then parse the SQL statement and determine the user's authorization to access certain objects in the centralized database based on a SQL handler design-time configuration. A result from the statement may be sent back to the user either directly or indirectly and exposed.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Arne Harren, Marco Haupt, Helmut Prestel, Rolf Hammer, Christiane Kettschau, Kai Baumgarten, Diego Sebastian Will, Minh-Khanh Do, Timm Falter, Frank-Martin Haas, Kilian Kilger

Patent number: 11061897Abstract: Techniques and solutions are described for facilitating the distribution of tables and table data between a shared container and one or more tenant containers. The tables can include a sharing indicator that can designate a table (or a view on a table) as having a materializable type. Materializable types can initially be deployed in the shared container, and a tenant container can have read access to the table via a view. If the tenant attempts to modify the materializable table, the table can be materialized in the tenant container. Metadata for a materializable table can include materialization instructions. Techniques and solutions are also provided for converting between sharing types, and for updating shared containers or table schemas.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2018Date of Patent: July 13, 2021Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Andreas Zimmermann, Volker Driesen, Markus Gebhard, Torsten Ziegler, Frank-Martin Haas

Patent number: 10881193Abstract: A personal hygiene device has a handle, a treatment head, and a motor carrier disposed in the handle. The motor is pivot-mounted against at least one spring element arranged between the handle and the motor carrier. The motor has a stator portion fixedly mounted at the motor carrier and an armature portion spring mounted at the motor carrier to allow a motion relative to the motor carrier. The armature portion is coupled with a drive shaft connected with the treatment head for transferring motion thereto, wherein an external treatment force acting on the brush head leads to pivoting of the motor carrier relative to the handle. The motor has a motor permanent magnet and a coil for providing an alternating electromagnetic field interacting therewith to excite an oscillating motion of the drive shaft.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2018Date of Patent: January 5, 2021Assignee: Braun GmbHInventors: Norbert Schaefer, Martin Haas, Andreas Kramp, Robert Schäfer

Patent number: 10737594Abstract: The invention relates to a foot prop adapted to be attached to a child safety seat, comprising an elongate component, comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion is slidable relative to the upper portion in longitudinal direction of the elongate component. The foot prop is configured such that a force applied in the longitudinal direction causes the lower portion to automatically move away from the upper portion whenever the force exceeds a predetermined threshold, so that the length of the elongate component is increased; and the foot prop is configured such that the lower and the upper portion are releasably blocked against relative movement towards one another. The invention further relates to a seat base and a child safety seat comprising a foot prop.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2018Date of Patent: August 11, 2020Assignee: Britax Römer Kindersicherheit GmbHInventors: Martin Böhm, Martin Haas

Patent number: 10592509Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for using declarative rules for optimized access to data. One example method includes receiving a structured query language (SQL) query, the SQL query associated with at least one database table and at least one predicate. A determination is made as to whether the SQL query is associated with at least one declarative rule based on the at least one database table and the at least one predicate. In response to determining that the SQL query is associated with at least one declarative rule, the at least one associated declarative rule is applied, during optimization of the SQL query. The at least one declarative rule defines a transformation to the SQL query to be performed during query optimization. An updated SQL query is generated based on the applied at least one associated declarative rule and the updated SQL query is provided.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2017Date of Patent: March 17, 2020Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Torsten Ziegler, Christian Hansen, Frank-Martin Haas, Stefan Baeuerle, Mihnea Andrei, Alexander Boehm

Patent number: 10535028Abstract: Method, system, and computer program product for simulating the layout and flow of a manufacturing facility. An initial facility layout concept and a baseline input data set are received which define placement and movement of virtual objects within a virtual facility model. At least one of several analyses is performed based on the initial facility layout concept and the baseline input data set. An event flow analysis that outputs timing for movement of the objects from the initial positions may be performed. A geometric flow analysis that outputs interactions between the objects resulting from the movements from the initial positions may be performed. An ergonomic analysis that outputs human postures and motions resulting from interactions with objects may be performed. A simulated flow model for the manufacturing facility is generated. A three-dimensional virtual environment of the simulated flow model is generated and output for display.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2016Date of Patent: January 14, 2020Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventors: Adam L.
