  • Publication number: 20240124257
Abstract: A method for moving a stack of products by a robot. The robot has an articulated arm and at least one gripper disposed on the articulated arm for gripping the stack of products. The stack of products is turned, before being moved by the robot, with a pivoting device that is separate from the robot. The stack of products is turned about a horizontal axis and the stack of products, while out of the horizontal orientation, is aligned and/or straightened in one direction and/or straightened in two mutually orthogonal directions and/or vibrated and/or aerated and/or modified from a fanned-out stack of products to become an unfanned stack of products. The robot then takes the stack from the pivoting device and subsequently moves the stack.

  • Patent number: 11952232
Abstract: A method moves a stack of products by a robot. The robot has an articulated arm and at least one gripper disposed on the articulated arm to grip the stack of printed products and the stack of products selectively being turned. The method includes pivoting the stack of products through an effective angle ?1< >180° and subsequently pivoting the stack through an effective angle ?2=180°??1 or pivoting the stack back through an effective angle ?2=??1. This method of moving stacks of products is performed in an automated way and in particular of depositing them in a turned or unturned arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20210245970
Abstract: A stack of products is moved using a robot. The robot has an articulated arm and grippers on the articulated arm to grip the stack of products. The stack of products is selectively turned in the depositing scheme. Two grippers are used in the method and, upon the deposit, the grippers are removed from the stack of products in the horizontal and in two directions perpendicular to one another. It is possible to move and selectively deposit stacks of product in a turned or unturned orientation.

  • Publication number: 20210245972
Abstract: A stack of products is moved with a robot which has an articulated arm and at least one gripper disposed on the articulated arm to grip the stack of products. The stack of products can be selectively turned. The step of moving terminates at a selected deposit location of a number of deposit positions of a predefined deposit scheme. The stacks of products are moved in an automated way and, in particular, the stacks are deposited in a turned or unturned arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20170015518
Abstract: A buckle folding unit for sheets includes a buckle plate, three rollers that form a transport roller pair and a folding roller pair, and a blown-air nozzle for guiding the sheets. The at least one blown-air nozzle emits a blown-air jet in a direction radial to a common roller of the transport roller pair and the folding roller pair. The air jet places the sheet against the surface of the common roller and guides it into a nip of the folding roller pair in a defined way, advantageously resulting in an improved quality of the fold. A sheet-fed folding machine including a buckle folding unit is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8960663
Abstract: A sheet feeder for separating sheets from a stack and for feeding the sheets to a downstream sheet processing machine includes a first suction wheel and a second suction wheel. The first suction wheel is disposed above the stack and the second suction wheel is disposed downstream of the stack and below a sheet travel plane. The first suction wheel separates a respective sheet from the stack and the second suction wheel accelerates the sheet.

  • Patent number: 8657279
Abstract: A suction wheel attracts sheets by suction and transports them. The suction wheel contains a suction wheel body rotatable about an axis of rotation and provided with a plurality of suction openings formed in the circumferential surface of the suction wheel body. Accordingly, the suction wheel body is of a non-circular shape. In particular, the suction wheel includes an attraction area for attracting a sheet, a retaining area for retaining and conveying a sheet, and a release area for releasing a sheet. A sheet feeder ideally incorporates such a suction wheel.

  • Publication number: 20120202671
Abstract: A folding machine for folding sheet-like elements includes at least a first buckle-folding station, a second buckle-folding station and possibly a further buckle-folding station, for respectively forming folding configurations having at least one fold. A folded edge trimming device is provided upstream of a respective folding station, for removing the at least one previously-formed fold. A method of folding using such a folding machine is also provided. It is thus possible to generate folded products with a high level of folding accuracy.
