  • Patent number: 11939188
Abstract: An externally powered car brake for a lift system and, for the activation thereof, a circuit arrangement with integrated stepped control of the deceleration of the car during emergency braking are proposed. According to the invention, a braking system having the full braking force or a braking force adapted to the operating parameters and a subsequent control of the deceleration on the basis of an acceleration measurement with stepped reduction of the braking force are proposed. The control is designed such that the deceleration of the car is always within predefined threshold values, which applies independently of the direction of travel of the lift car, independently of the drive system of the lift used, and independently of the car loading and of the friction coefficient between the brake lining and the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 9816576
Abstract: A compact control device for failsafely controlling an electrical actuator capable of moving a movable machine part into a defined end position, has an input connection for receiving an external control signal representing a desired position of the machine part. The compact control device further has an input part for detecting a position signal, which signals an actual position of the machine part at the defined end position. A power section comprises a power switching element for switching on and failsafely switching off a control current for the actuator that is supplied to the electrical actuator via a first output connection. The compact control device has a second output connection for providing an external status signal and an evaluation unit which actuates the power switching element depending on the external control signal and generates the external status signal at the second output connection depending on the position signal.

  • Patent number: 9316262
Abstract: The invention relates to a linear brake (LBR) for attachment on a slide that can be moved along a guide rail (F), having a brake housing (1), which at least partially surrounds the guide rail (F), a force store arranged on or in the brake housing (1) and a brake piston (3), which is loaded by the force store, surrounds the guide rail (F) in a fork-like manner and is moved by the force store against the guide rail transversely to the movement direction between the slide and the guide rail (F). The brake piston presses the two clamp jaws (7), which are connected with a U-shaped transfer plate (6), against the guide rail (F) by means of piston bevels (3.2) and wedge bevels (5.1), which are arranged on both sides of the guide rail (F) and are opposite each other. The brake piston (3) is configured as a cylindrical annular piston, which is loaded on one end face by the force store (2) arranged centrally in the annular piston and has on the other end face the piston ends (3.6) with the bevel faces (3.2).

  • Patent number: 7614786
Abstract: A positioning device for an X-ray detector or an X-ray source is provided. The positioning device includes an arched arm, inside of which the X-ray detector or the X-ray source can be mounted in a manner that enables the detector or source to be displaced in the direction of the arch. The positioning device includes a base, inside of which the arched arm is mounted in a manner that enables the arched arm to be displaced in the direction of the arch. Either the X-ray detector is mounted in the positioning device and the X-ray source is placed separately therefrom or, conversely, the X-ray source is mounted in the positioning device and the X-ray detector is placed separately there from.

  • Patent number: 6845209
Abstract: An optical wave-guide cable network can be extended into buildings easily, quickly and economically, in a flexible and operatively reliable manner, at any time of year. The optical wave-guide cable network includes the optical wave-guide cables mounted on the wall of inaccessible conduit or pipe systems by means of fixing elements. The fixing elements includes means for holding at least one optical wave-guide cable and means for fixing on the wall of the conduit or pipe system. The fixing means are formed by a resiliently prestressed, closed stainless steel ring which presses against the wall of the conduit or pipe system.

  • Patent number: 4644301
Abstract: A redundancy switching system which provides four reserve devices is disclosed which is suitable for use with from eight to twelve channels. The switches in the input switching network of this redundancy system are connected in first and second sections. Each section includes a ring of switches and two switches connected as appendages to the ring. Only as many switches are needed to control the input connection to the redundant devices as there are redundant devices. A similar number of switches are needed to control the output connection of the active devices.
