  • Publication number: 20060207357
Abstract: Safety attachment device for an actuator (1) attached at its ends respectively to a first and a second part (2, 3) which are connected to one another also by means of a reaction bar (4) which is located on the top of the actuator (1), said device comprises an upper part (5, 5a, 5b) immobilized on the reaction bar (4) and side arms (6, 7) which clasp the sides (1c, 1d) of the actuator (1), both having windows (8, 9) through which respective pins (10, 11) joined to these sides (1c, 1d) pass, the pin (10, 11) thus being situated without making contact with the edges of the window when the actuator is attached to the parts (2, 3), and each window (8, 9) being of a horizontal extension such that its side edges do not touch the pin (10, 11) which passes through said window (8, 9) when the actuator (1) is disconnected from any of the parts (2, 3).

  • Patent number: 6752161
Abstract: The motion wheel washer automatically washes the front wheels of a vehicle while the wheel is in motion. In one embodiment, the position of the front wheels and the vehicle speed is sensed. When the wheels are turned to the right or left at low speed, a nozzle residing inside the lip of the fender, in front of the wheel, directs a spray of a washing fluid against the outer surface of the wheel. When the wheels are turned the opposite direction, a spray is directed against the outer surface of the opposite wheel. In a second embodiment, a telescoping arm residing within the wheel well above the wheel, deploys to position a nozzle to spray the washing fluid against either wheel.

  • Publication number: 20040078844
Abstract: Provided are insolated DNA vectors which may be based on Agrobacterium binary vectors and which comprise: (a) a transfer nucleotide sequence comprising (i) a plant active promoter, operably linked to (ii) a recombinant tobacco rattle virus (TRV) nucleic acid which may corresponds to all or part of TRV RNA 1 and which includes: a sequence encoding a TRV trans acting factor, and cis acting elements, which confer on the TRV nucleic acid transcript the ability to replicate in the cytoplasm of a plant cell; and a heterologous nucleotide sequence which is foreign to said virus (which may be a cloning site, or a targeting sequence which is capable of down-regulating expression of a target gene); (b) border sequences which permit the transfer of the transfer nucleotide sequence into a plant cell genome. Preferred vectors include pBTA&Dgr;AMP&Dgr;16K (SEQ ID NO: 3) or pBTA&Dgr;MP (SEQ ID NO: 2). Also provided are related materials and methods of use of such vectors e.g.

  • Patent number: 6369296
Abstract: Disclosed are nucleic acid vectors which comprise: (a) a transfer nucleotide sequence comprising (i) a plant active promoter, operably linked to (ii) a recombinant tobacco rattle virus (TRV) cDNA (preferably derived from TRV RNA2) which includes at least cis acting elements permitting replication of the cDNA; a subgenomic promoter operably linked to a sequence encoding a TRV coat protein; and a heterologous nucleotide sequence which is foreign to the virus;(b) border sequences which permit the transfer of the transfer nucleotide sequence into a plant genome. Such vectors may be used as expression vectors or for achieving viral induced gene silencing (VIGS) of a target gene, wherein the heterologous nucleotide sequence is a targeting sequence which corresponding to that gene. Example vectors include pTV00 and vectors which are derived from PTV00 and have the characteristics thereof. Also disclosed are associated processes, methods, viruses or viral particle, kits, host cells and plant tissues.
