  • Publication number: 20230070827
Abstract: Accelerating computations in a processor having one or more processing units, wherein one or more threads of execution are associated with one or more processing elements and with a shared memory of the one or more processing units for performing computations by parallel execution of the threads. Computations are performed by parallel execution of the one or more threads in the one or more processing elements by using the shared memory. The or more threads are synchronized by: determining dependent computations of the one or more threads in a warp, wherein the warp includes a pre-determined number of threads, mapping adjacent entries of a fast Fourier transform to respective threads of the determined dependent computations of the warp, exchanging data between the one or more respective threads, and performing the determined dependent computations of the respective threads based on exchanged data between the one or more respective threads.

  • Patent number: 11601969
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to method performed by a radio-network node for handling a data transmission, from a wireless device to the radio-network node, in a wireless communication network. The radio-network node schedules one or more resources for carrying an uplink data transmission from the wireless device over a channel, and for carrying a feedback transmission, of a downlink data transmission from the radio-network node, over the same channel. The radio-network node transmits a control message to the wireless device, which control message indicates the one or more resources scheduled for carrying the uplink data transmission and the feedback transmission over the same channel.

  • Patent number: 11601960
Abstract: A user equipment, a network node and methods thereof for timing of scheduling of resources in a frequency division duplex system are disclosed. The user equipment and network node operate in a frequency division duplex communication system. The network node determines (400) whether a user equipment is prohibited to receive an uplink grant in at least one downlink subframe, e.g. if the user equipment is configured with ABS or with half-duplex operation. Furthermore, if the user equipment is prohibited to receive an uplink grant in at least one downlink subframe, the network node sends (410) an indication to the user equipment to apply a time division duplex configuration to the timing of scheduling of resources. The user equipment receives (420) the indication and thereupon applies (430) the time division duplex configuration to the timing of scheduling of resources.

  • Publication number: 20220302967
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to radio network communication. In one of its aspects, the present disclosure relates to a method, performed by a first APU, for sequential transmit precoding in a radio stripe system. The system comprises at least two APUs connected 5 in series from a CPU and serves at least two UEs. According to the method, channel estimates for channels to the served UEs are obtained and based on these, a precoding filter is determined. The precoding filter is going to be applied to signals that are to be transmitted from the first APU to the UEs. Thereafter, based on the determined precoding filter and the obtained channel estimates, effective precoded channels for the 0 signals to the UEs are determined. These represent the effective channel created after the precoding filter being applied to each channel for the UEs. The effective precoded channels are transmitted to at least one subsequent second APU. To be published with FIG.

  • Patent number: 11451988
Abstract: A network node (200), a wireless device (202) and methods therein, for indicating and handling assignment of measurement resources in a predefined region of a resource block transmitted by the network node (200). The network node (200) identifies (2:1) a wireless device (202) that is required to perform measurements on signals transmitted by the network node (200) and/or measurements of interference. The network node (200) then assigns (2:2) to the wireless device (202) usage of the measurement resources in the predefined region, and signals (2:3) an indication of the assigned usage of the measurement resources to the wireless device (202). The wireless device (202) is then able to determine and use (2:4) the measurement resources based on the received indication. Thereby, the usage of the measurement resources can be assigned in a dynamic and flexible manner, e.g. depending on the current need for measurement resources.

  • Patent number: 11444822
Abstract: In an aspect, a wireless device with a plurality of transmitter chains that can be selectively used to transmit a beam-formed signal determines a targeted receive power for the beam-formed signal, with respect to a target receiving device. The wireless device selects a number of the plurality of transmitter chains for forming the beam-formed signal, based on the targeted receive power and based on an estimated power consumption for each of the plurality of transmitter chains. The selection is performed so as to minimize a total power consumption, given the estimated power consumptions. The wireless device transmits a beam-formed signal, using the selected number of the plurality of transmitter chains.

  • Publication number: 20220240169
Abstract: A radio node (12) is configured for use in a wireless communication system (10) in which system information is transmitted in parts. The radio node (12) in this regard generates explicit signaling that is associated with a first part (16) of system information and that indicates a sequence (24) with which a second part (20) of system information is to be demodulated or descrambled. The radio node (12) transmits the explicit signaling over a signaling channel (25). Correspondingly, a wireless communication device (14) receives system information for the system (10) in parts. The device (14) receives the first part (16) over the first channel (18). The device (14) also receives the explicit signaling over the signaling channel (25). The device (14) further receives the second part (20) over the second channel (22), by demodulating or descrambling the second part (20) using the sequence (24) indicated by the explicit signaling.

  • Patent number: 11387849
Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for decoding an encoded sequence into a decoded sequence. A method is performed by an information decoder. The method comprises obtaining a channel output. The channel output represents the encoded sequence as passed through a communications channel. The encoded sequence has been encoded using a polar code. The polar code is representable by a code diagram. The method comprises successively decoding the channel output into the decoded sequence by traversing the code diagram. The method comprises, whilst traversing the code diagram, determining a bit score term for each potential decoding decision on one or more bits being decoded. The method comprises, whilst traversing the code diagram, adding an adjustment term to each bit score term to form a candidate score for said each potential decoding decision. The successive decoding is repeated until all bits of the channel output have been decoded, resulting in at least two candidate decoded sequences.
