  • Publication number: 20230261304
Abstract: A battery pack for use in an electric vehicle having two longitudinal sill members extending in a length direction, interconnected at a front side by front and rear transverse members, a number of rectangular battery cells being placed between the sill members, the front transverse member and the rear transverse member, the cells being mutually adjacent in the length direction. The battery pack has at least a chamber integrated in the rear transverse beam, said chamber being configured to accommodate an analog-to-digital converter.

  • Publication number: 20230231278
Abstract: A busbar assembly comprises an elongated support structure with a bottom, two side walls, extending in a length direction (L) along longitudinal sides, two spaced-apart central ridges extending in the length direction (L), a signal line, connected to the support structure between the central ridges, conductor members positioned between the side walls and an adjacent central ridge, adapted for interconnecting terminals of battery cells that are adjacent when seen in the length direction (L). The sidewalls and the ridges each extend at a cover side of the bottom and define top adhesive surface strips with respective widths Ws, Wc, the strips being situated in a connecting plane and adapted for adhesive connection to a top plate of a battery pack casing.

  • Publication number: 20230108456
Abstract: A battery pack for use in an electric vehicle, includes two longitudinal sill members extending in a length direction L, interconnected at a front side by a transverse front piece and at a distance from the front piece by a transverse member. Two or more rows of battery cells are placed side by side between the sill members. The front piece and the transverse member exert a compressive force of between 20 and 200 kN/m2 on the cells in the length direction.

  • Publication number: 20230025278
Abstract: An electric vehicle includes: a frame with two spaced-apart longitudinal members having an upper transversely oriented wall member that is situated a vertical distance Hu from a bottom plane and a lower transversely oriented wall member that is situated near the bottom plane, and a battery pack with an array of battery cells defining an array top surface, an array bottom surface and an array side surface. A casing top plate contacts the array top surface, a casing bottom plate contacting the array bottom surface and a casing side wall, connected to the top and bottom plates and contacting the array side surface. The casing top plate is situated a vertical distance Hct from the bottom plane that substantially corresponds with the distance Hu. The battery pack includes a longitudinal impact absorption structure.

  • Publication number: 20230022211
Abstract: An electric vehicle including a battery assembly with at least two rows of battery cells attached to a battery frame structure. The battery frame structure has a number of accommodating cavities, arranged in a matrix, each battery cell being placed in a respective accommodating cavity and connected to adjacent walls of the respective accommodating cavity via a flowable bonding substance being inserted in a gap between the cells and the walls of the respective cavity.

  • Publication number: 20230017474
Abstract: A battery assembly for an electric vehicle includes two spaced-apart longitudinal profiles extending in a length direction L, interconnected to a front and a rear transverse beam. At least three beam shaped battery modules are interconnected along their longitudinal sides via a plate-shaped interconnecting member, and extend in the length direction, to be attached to an inner surface of the front transverse beam via a bracket. Each battery module is provided with cooling channels extending in the length direction L and having an inlet situated between a transverse end face of the module and the inner surface of the front transverse beam. A water inlet duct extends from an external side the front transverse beam in a central area situated between the brackets, for connecting to a coolant inlet of the central battery module.
