  • Patent number: 11221093
Abstract: A subsea pipeline has a steel pipe surrounded by a thermally-insulating coating system having at least one thermal insulation layer. The thermal insulation layer has a thermally-insulating matrix in which elongate tensile elements of a thermoplastic polymer, such as monofilament yarns, are embedded. The pipe is preheated to promote bonding between the matrix and the elongate elements and between successive layers of the coating system.

    Filed: November 28, 2018
Date of Patent: January 11, 2022
    Assignee: Subsea 7 (US) LLC

  • Patent number: 8903997
Abstract: A method of analyzing a network is disclosed that may include a plurality of interconnected network components, and a network model with component configuration data for each of the network components and component interconnection data for each connection between network components. The method may also comprise selectively altering component configuration data for a first network component, or selectively altering component interconnection data for a first connection, thereby selectively altering a modeled state of the first network component or the first component connection within the network model, propagating the effect of such altering of a modeled state throughout the network model in dependence upon configuration data and interconnection data relating to the first network component and in dependence upon such data relating to other connected network components, monitoring the effect of said propagation on other network components within the network model.

  • Publication number: 20120066358
Abstract: A method of configuring a network model of a network is disclosed that may include a plurality of interconnected network elements. An embodiment of the method may include: a) accessing a plurality of predefined network element models, with each element model defining a network element and including element configuration data relating to the element; b)receiving selection data defining a selection of the plurality of network element models; c) receiving element connection data defining interconnections between selected network element models; and d) automatically configuring network model data for the network model in dependence upon the received selection and connection data. Also disclosed are: a) a network model configured according to the disclosed method; b) a network configured according to the method; c) a system for configuring a network model; and d)a method of analyzing a network that may include accessing the network model.
