  • Patent number: 11440545
Abstract: A control system for a motor vehicle having a first control unit for controlling a first function of the motor vehicle and a second control unit for controlling a second function of the motor vehicle. In order to ensure, with the least possible additional complexity, that functions of a motor vehicle that are controlled by means of control units are properly executed even in the event of a faulty control unit, the control system has a third control unit for controlling the first function and the second function of the motor vehicle and, depending on the receipt of a fault signal of the first and/or second control unit by the third control unit, the third control unit can be configured such that the motor vehicle first and/or second function corresponding to the faulty control unit can be controlled by means of the third control unit alone.

  • Patent number: 8460492
Abstract: A method for thermally welding an adhesive tape to a polymeric substrate wherein the backing of the adhesive tape enters into a cured physical connection with the polymeric substrate is disclosed. The adhesive tape is comprises a spunbonded backing that is coated, at least partially, on one side with a pressure sensitive adhesive, preferably natural rubber or acrylate. The spunbonded backing can comprise polyester or polypropylene fibers that do not melt during the welding process, and may optionally include additives such as pigments, UV stabilizers and flame retardants.

Abstract: An adhesive tape for thermal welding on a polymeric substrate is disclosed. The adhesive tape comprises a spunbonded backing that is coated, at least partially, on one side with a pressure sensitive adhesive, preferably natural rubber or acrylate, wherein the adhesive includes fibers that do not melt in a thermal welding process. The spunbonded backing advantageously also contains polyester, preferably polyester and/or co-polyester fibers that have been surface-consolidated and/or embossed by a calender process. The composition of the tape disclosed herein provides for an especially sound physical connection when thermally welded to a wide variety of polymeric substrates.

  • Patent number: 5446169
Abstract: The invention relates to a new process for the preparation of 3-(3-carboxypropyl)-5-methoxyindole-2-carboxylic acid (I), characterized in that 6-carboethoxy-6-p-methoxyphenylhydrazonohexanoic acid (II) is cyclized using a carboxylic acid which contains 1-3 carbon atoms, the resulting mixture comprising I, the two I monoethyl esters and I diethyl ester is treated with a strong inorganic base, and the resulting salt is converted into the free acid I by treatment with a strong acid.
