  • Publication number: 20250118959
Abstract: A system and method for providing fault isolation in a power distribution network. The network includes a power line, a recloser coupled to the power line and a plurality of switching devices coupled to the power line downstream of the recloser, where each switching device is capable of detecting fault current in response to the fault and detecting presence of voltage. In one non-limiting embodiment, the method includes detecting overcurrent, loss of voltage and return of voltage by the switching devices and includes sequentially opening and closing switching devices from the recloser to a switching device immediately upstream of the fault in response to detecting overcurrent, loss of voltage and return of voltage.

  • Patent number: 12266925
Abstract: An electrical power network employing fault location, isolation and system restoration. The system includes a plurality of switching devices electrically coupled along a power line downstream of a fault interrupting device. The switching devices each have current and voltage sensing capability and the capability to provide pulse tests for detecting fault presence. The fault interrupting device performs reclosing operations, and when the plurality of switching devices detect fault presence a predetermined number of times in coordination with reclosing operations performed by the fault interrupting device and detect loss of voltage, each switching device opens. The fault interrupting device closes when the switching devices open, and the switching devices sequentially pulse test and close from a furthest upstream switching device when detecting return of voltage and no fault presence until a switching device closest to the fault pulse tests and detects fault presence and locks open.

  • Patent number: 12257695
Abstract: A manufacturing system includes a stator base, a plurality of movers, one or more end effectors, and a controller. The stator base has a planar stator surface covering an array of electrical coils configured to generate an electromagnetic field. The movers each contain multiple permanent magnets configured to cause the movers to levitate and move relative to the stator surface in response to the electromagnetic field. The end effectors are coupled to the movers, and each end effector perform one or more functions in relation to a material sheet. The controller activates the electrical coils in a manner causing independent, coordinated movement of the movers over the stator surface, and causing the end effectors to engage with and operate on the material sheet.

  • Patent number: 12258199
Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for closed fluid delivery include a bottle holding a quantity of fluid. A membrane is positioned over an opening of the bottle to seal the fluid therein. A closed fluid delivery adapter has a first portion with a first mateable end connectable to the bottle along the opening of the bottle and a second portion having a second mateable end positioned to connect to a container. A fluid pathway is between the first and second portions. A puncturing structure is positioned along the fluid pathway. A removable collar is positioned between the first and second portions. The removable collar prevents the first and second portions from moving closer together. Upon removal of the removable collar, the first and second portions are movable closer together, whereby the puncturing structure punctures the membrane to allow flow of the fluid.
