  • Publication number: 20080295946
Abstract: A vehicle tire contains a tread part, a bead region which is radially formed inside the tread part and having a bead core, a bead filler formed radially outside the bead core, and a bead reinforcing layer extending over a periphery of the vehicle tire and containing at least one resistance carrier spirally wound radially outwardly from the inside towards the periphery. A further bead reinforcing strip is formed radially inside the bead core, the further bead reinforcing strip extending axially over the entire axial length of the bead core and being radially outwardly folded back towards the two axial outer sides of the bead core. The further bead reinforcing strip having a first folded-back section extending up to a radial extension height from a vertex of the wheel rim and a second folded-back section up to a radial extension height from the vertex X of the wheel rim.

  • Publication number: 20080142139
Abstract: A radial pneumatic vehicle tire, in particular a truck tire, includes a carcass insert having at least one ply and reinforcing elements of steel cord or a material of similar strength. The carcass insert is turned back in a bead region about a bead core to form a turn-up. At least one fabric reinforcing ply with tension-resistant, textile reinforcing elements, reinforces the bead region, runs around the bead core, has one side directly contacting the bead core and another side directly contacting the carcass insert and reaches on an inner tire side between a bead filler and the carcass insert, up to a height measured radially relative to a rim transition point of between 0.1 and 0.47 of a cross-sectional height of the tire and ending on an outer tire side, between the bead filler and the turn-up of the carcass insert, at a distance radially inside the turn-up.

  • Publication number: 20080006360
Abstract: A pneumatic vehicle tire includes a tread and two tire side walls each having one tire bead which is formed at a radially inner end. A carcass starts from the tread and extending on both sides of the tread, the carcass comprises a main part through the tire side walls in a radially inner direction to a tire bead and is folded over in the tire bead about a bead core formed so as to extend over a circumference of the pneumatic vehicle tire in order to secure a seat of the pneumatic vehicle tire on a rim, and extends radially outward with the fold in the carcass. A first bead reinforcement material is arranged on a side of the bead core axially facing the main part of the carcass between the main part of the carcass and the bead core. A second bead reinforcement material is arranged on a side of the bead core axially facing the fold in the carcass between the fold in the carcass and the bead core.
