  • Publication number: 20230226547
Abstract: A microfluidic valve includes a carrier layer and a flexible membrane layer arranged on a surface of the carrier layer. The surface of the carrier layer has a valve chamber in the form of a spherical cap and a membrane formed by the flexible membrane layer covers at least the valve chamber. A plurality of microfluidic channels opening into the valve chamber are formed in the surface of the carrier layer. Moreover, an inflow channel and an outflow channel are connected to one another by a microfluidic connection channel. The connection channel and the valve chamber are positioned relative to each other in such a way that in the closed state of the membrane, a fluid can flow from the inflow channel via the connection channel into the outflow channel to bridge the valve chamber, while the at least one supply channel is closed by the membrane.

  • Publication number: 20090253570
Abstract: A composition includes particles of an inorganic component A and particles of an inorganic component B which together can form a eutectic system and react at least partly with one another at a sintering temperature, resulting in formation of at least one ternary chemical compound of the spinel type. The composition can be applied to high-temperature-stable ceramic layers, coatings and shaped bodies and also their production, their uses and compositions for producing them.

  • Patent number: 7303784
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for producing a highly-porous ceramic layer and for application of this layer onto metallic, ceramic, enameled and/or glass substrates using porous, ceramic particles, preferably aluminum oxide, titanium oxide and zircon oxide, and an inorganic binder system. The inorganic binder system contains at least one ceramic nanoparticle of a particle size of less than 100 nm, preferably less than 50 nm and particularly preferred less than 25 nm, the solvent being water. Layers produced in this fashion are suited as self-cleaning catalytically active layers e.g. in ovens, in combustion engines etc. or for general coating of substances to considerably increase their specific surface e.g. for catalytic substrates.
