  • Patent number: 4989781
Abstract: A forced hot-water heating system in which sensible and latent heat remaining in flue gases after contact with a primary heat exchanger is recycled into incoming cold air by a second heat exchanger. The heater, humidified intake air is then directed to a fuel burner, and reduces the amount of fuel necessary to achieve a given amount of heat exchange at the primary heat exchanger at normal operating return-water temperatures.
