  • Patent number: 9130951
Abstract: Devices and methods for selecting network nodes in a cellular communication network. By dropping fixed connections between network nodes of different hierarchy levels, for instance, a network node of an access network has to make a selection among different core network nodes. The selected core network node requires service information on the access network node and the area serviced by the access network node. Devices and methods are disclosed for selecting network nodes and for providing service information. The devices can be implemented in the network centrally or in a distributed manner.

  • Patent number: 8934861
Abstract: A technique for monitoring a call associated with a connection established via a Media Gateway node (MGW) is described. The Media Gateway node (MGW) is controlled by a Media Gateway Controller node (MGC). The Media Gateway node (MGW) and the Media Gateway Controller node (MGC) belong to a layered network (LN). A method implementation of this technique comprises the steps of detecting a loss of communication between the Media Gateway Controller node (MGC) and the Media Gateway node (MGW) and logging the loss of communication together with a time stamp of the detected communication loss to be used for determining a charging time of the call.

  • Patent number: 7689885
Abstract: An integrated circuit is disclosed. In one embodiment, for each clock domain there is at least one clock driver which is situated in the integrated circuit and which drives circuits situated in the clock domain. Each clock driver in the clock domain contains a clock input and an enable input, and its output outputs the clock received at the clock input if an enable signal is applied to the enable input. The clock driver receives a clock derived from the signal at the functional clock input, and the enable signal is connected in line with the values stored in the signal sequence registers if there is a signal change at the scan clock input when the scan chain shift mode has been switched off.

  • Patent number: 7225348
Abstract: An electrical circuit including components which cooperate with each other, in which a component of the electrical circuit which is waiting for an action to be carried out by another component, is notified by an acknowledgement signal shortly before the implementation of the action that implementation of the action is imminent. The electrical circuit optionally includes a clock generator containing a master clock generator, a clock control unit and several clock signal producing units. The master clock generator produces a master clock signal which is supplied to all of the clock signal producing units. The clock control unit produces several release signals that are respectively supplied to each clock signal producing unit. Each clock signal producing unit passes part of the master clock signal in response to the received release signal, and transfers the passed signal as a clock signal to at least one component of the electrical circuit.

  • Patent number: 7089468
Abstract: The program-controlled unit, during the execution of the program, can switch itself to a state in which selected elements that can be connected to form scan chains or all of the elements can no longer change their state, according to a predetermined result. If these elements are then connected to form a scan chain and read out, the data obtained as a result can be used to identify and/or analyze any errors existing in the program-controlled unit rapidly and reliably.

  • Patent number: 7054629
Abstract: The present invention relates to method and means for a system initiated subscriber information redistribution in order to achieve a load redistribution within a pool of core network nodes. The subscribers, that are affected by the redistribution, are determined by the bit values in their TMSI's. These specific TMSI's are then arranged to be treated as invalid by the cellular system. Messages etc. from subscribers with invalid TMSI's will be “trapped” in the cellular system and the subscriber information that belongs to these subscribers will be redistributed to new core network nodes.
