  • Publication number: 20070005552
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for reducing the consumption of transient memory in an object-oriented system. The disclosed systems and methods may include a request by an application for the content of an object from an application to a database via a buffer. The requested content may be returned to the application from the database via the buffer without storing the content in the buffer. The buffer may also store portions of the content of the object that are edited by the requesting application. Upon receiving another request for the content of the object from the application, the buffer may determine whether it has previously stored any edited portion of the object content and, if so, to update the object content retrieved from the database with the edited portion before returning it to the application.
