The control valve has a valve element guided in a cylinder of a valve housing can be slid by the actuator in opposition to a spring and in cooperation with an opening in the cylinder bore connected to an inlet from the supply pump or an outlet to the high-pressure pump, controls a flow cross section from the supply pump to the high-pressure pump.
