  • Patent number: 11598306
Abstract: A battery pack has a battery connection assembly for connecting to an electric motor with at least one lithium-based rechargeable cell therein and associated means for turning the at least one lithium-based rechargeable cell ON or OFF. The battery pack is configured to store a reserve within the at least one lithium-based rechargeable cell that is sufficient to start the engine electric motor. The battery pack can be activated by the associated means for turning the at least one lithium-based rechargeable cell ON or OFF to access the reserve to start the engine electric motor.

  • Patent number: 11597296
Abstract: A power management system includes a sensor interface that receives sensor data samples during operation of a vehicle. A storage device stores the sensor data samples for multiple points in time along a route segment traveled by the vehicle. One or more processors analyze the sensor data samples to detect a historical pattern of the vehicle. The one or more processors determine time efficient operational parameters for the vehicle in response to a destination and an estimated travel time to the destination. The estimated travel time may be based on predicted conditions of the vehicle indicated by the historical pattern. The time efficient operational parameters may be selected to decrease the estimated travel time. At least one of the sensor data samples may include telemetry data.

  • Patent number: 11591996
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for powering an electric motor for starting an internal combustion engine in which the electric motor is in a 6 volt to 48 volt operating system, in which an auxiliary battery pack has a battery pack housing; at least one lithium-based rechargeable cell within the housing; associated means for receiving a radio transmitted signal; associated means for turning the rechargeable cell ON or OFF; and battery connections for connecting the auxiliary battery pack to a battery in a 6 volt to 48 volt operating system.

  • Publication number: 20220281318
Abstract: A method of vehicle operation includes, using one or more processors, receiving one or more inputs, from one or more sensors of a first vehicle and/or one or more sources communicatively coupled with the one or more processors, while the vehicle is traveling on a vehicle route. In implementations the one or more inputs are used to determine a distance between the first vehicle and a second vehicle and this distance is used as an input to a power management system to increase an energy efficiency of the first vehicle while traveling on the vehicle route. In implementations the one or more inputs and data regarding regenerative braking of the first vehicle are used to calculate one or more speeds and a power management system applies the one or more calculated speeds to the first vehicle. In implementations a reliability estimate is calculated for the one or more calculated speeds.

  • Publication number: 20220242239
Abstract: A method of vehicle operation includes, using one or more processors, receiving one or more inputs from one of one or more sensors of a first vehicle and one or more external sources communicatively coupled with the one or more processors. The one or more processors determine a plurality of optional routes existing between a first location of the first vehicle and a future destination of the first vehicle. Using the one or more inputs, the one or more processors predict a vehicle route by predicting which of the optional routes the first vehicle will take to get from the first location to the future destination.
