  • Patent number: 9849503
Abstract: A transport device, in particular, for transporting cooling blocks (5) in a casting machine with caterpillar mold, wherein the transport device includes: a plurality of roller elements (4), which circulate endless in a caterpillar-like manner on a circulating path U and is drivable by a drive device (33); at least two parallel guide paths (20), each of which includes one or more roller running surfaces (12a, 12b) and each of which extends over the entire circulating path U; wherein each roller element (4) includes a roller element body (34), which has a first end (35) and a second end (36) in the direction of circulation; each roller element (4) includes at least one roller (10) respectively in the area of the first end (35) and in the area of the second end (36); and the rollers (10) situated in the area of the first end (35) of roller element body (34) roll on roller running surfaces (12a, 12b) different from those of the rollers (10) situated in the area of the second end (36) of the roller element body (3

  • Patent number: 7614441
Abstract: The present casting machine and the underlying caterpillar-mold casting method distinguish themselves by the fact that the blocks (4) forming the mold circulate caterpillar-like around one of the casting caterpillars (2;3) and are subdivided in the lateral direction into individual elements that are held together, the elements, which rest on a transport means, being held on the transport means at least over a part of the circumference of the caterpillar by means of stationary magnets.

Abstract: The following abstract will replace all prior versions of the abstract in the application: The present casting machine and the underlying caterplillar-mold casting method distinguish themselves by the fact that the blocks (4) forming the mold circulate caterpillar-like around one of the casting caterpillars (2;3) and are subdivided in the lateral direction into individual elements that are held together, the elements, which rest on a transport means, being held on the transport means at least over a part of the circumference of the caterpillar by means of stationary magnets.

  • Patent number: 5895867
Abstract: A device for measuring the torque, released or received through a shaft, of machinery or apparatus, in particular an engine or a machine, comprises a first holding part, which is essentially firmly connected to a base. This first holding part is equipped with bearing means in which a second holding part is mounted so that it is pivotable about a pivot axis. The machinery or apparatus is disposed on the second holding part. The bearing means are designed in such a way that the pivot axis, about which the second holding part is pivotable with respect to the first holding part, is substantially coaxial to the axis, about which the shaft of the machinery or apparatus is rotatable. Inserted between the first holding means and the second holding means is a carrying part which is equipped with measuring means and which limits the pivoting. The force, or respectively the torque, acting upon the carrying part can be measured with the measuring elements.
