  • Patent number: 10295552
Abstract: Methods and kits for the diagnosis of primary hyperaldosteronism (PHA). In particular, the present invention relates to the use of a new diagnostic parameter that is composed of the ratio between the Ang II level, in particular the steady state equilibrium Ang II level, and the aldosterone level in a biological sample, such as e.g. plasma. The ratio of the two measured parameters is used to diagnose PHA in patients and has clear advantages over currently used diagnostic methods.

  • Patent number: 9493193
Abstract: A locking mechanism having a lock and a locking bolt for the detachable fixing of a tiltable driver's cab on the chassis of a military motor vehicle. A shared joint (knee) of a knee lever, which has two one-armed lever arms of different lengths, is used as the locking element of the lock, the joint engaging with a corresponding recess of the locking bolt in the locked position of the locking mechanism. The short lever arm of the knee lever is pivotably supported on its end facing away from the knee in a fixed bearing, and the long lever arm of the knee lever is pivotably supported by its end facing away from the knee with the first lever arm of a reversing lever pivotable around a pivot axis. The second lever arm of the reversing lever is connected to a drive for pivoting the reversing lever, so that a pivot motion of the reversing lever induces a motion of the knee of the knee lever into or out of the recess of the locking bolt.

  • Patent number: 9347219
Abstract: A convertible roof element includes a peripheral structure with an opening to be at least partially closed by a membrane, an edge rope and at least one guide rope forming a rope band tensioned against each other. The convertible roof element has a parking position and at least one shading position, the parking position running along the peripheral structure and the at least one shading position running across the opening of the peripheral structure. The edge rope is fixed at its ends via a first tensioning device to the peripheral structure. The at least one guide rope is secured to the edge rope at one end and at the other end to the peripheral structure by means of a further tensioning device. The tensile force of the further tensioning device is variable so that the edge rope is moveable from the parking position into the at least one shading position.

  • Patent number: 7286576
Abstract: The object of a pulsed laser arrangement and a method for adjusting the pulse length of laser pulses is to change the pulse length over a wide range substantially independent from the laser output power, in particular to counteract a reduction in output and to prevent a negative change in the beam parameters when lengthening the pulse by means of varying the oscillator output. A multistage laser amplifier in which an amplifying medium with a small-signal amplification of more than 10 is provided in every stage (17-22) is arranged downstream of a diode-pumped Q-switched solid state laser oscillator with variable oscillator output for supplying oscillator pulses. The total small-signal amplification brought about by all of the amplifying media is greater than 1000. The pulsed laser arrangement and the method can be used for industrial and medical purposes requiring pulse lengths in the range of several hundred ns to several ?s at pulse repetition rates between 10 kHz and 200 kHz.
