  • Publication number: 20240009009
Abstract: An adjustable socket system includes first and second shell components and first and second longitudinal supports connected to a base. The socket system is movable between an open configuration to loosen the fit of the socket system, and a closed configuration to secure the fit of the socket system on residual limb received therein. A tightening system includes a tensioning unit having a handle defining a moment arm rotatable about a rotation axis, and a tensioning element operatively coupled to the handle via a movable connection point located and protected between the first shell component and the first support and to the shell components via a control point. Rotation of the handle displaces the movable connection point and the tensioning element relative to the control point to move the socket system to the closed configuration.

  • Publication number: 20230380676
Abstract: A main tube (2) has a first lumen (3) with a proximal end (5) and a distal end (6) to be placed inside a body cavity. An outer wall (7) encloses the first lumen and a dedicated camera lumen (4). A camera module is arranged at the distal end of the first lumen. An image transmission cable attached to the camera module extends through the camera lumen to connect to an image display device. A separately manufactured tip housing (20) is mounted on the main tube at the distal end of the first lumen. The tip housing forms a tip extension (23) of the first lumen and a tip extension (24) of the camera lumen. Abstract: The tube has a first lumen with a proximal end and an open distal end to be placed inside a body cavity. An outer wall encloses the first lumen and a camera lumen. A camera module (10) is arranged in the camera lumen at a distal end thereof so that the camera module is positioned adjacent the distal end of the first lumen. An image transmission cable (13) attached to the camera module extends through the camera lumen to connect to an image display device. The camera module is fixed in the camera lumen by means of a camera housing (14) including a tubular housing part (17) surrounding the camera module and a distal end wall (18). The tubular housing part and the distal end wall are integrally moulded and form one single housing element (19). The tubular housing part fits tightly into the camera lumen of the tube.

  • Publication number: 20230201011
Abstract: A prosthetic attachment system includes an insert arranged for connection to a prosthetic liner, and an attachment unit arranged for connection to a distal end of a prosthetic socket. The attachment unit comprises a body defining an axis and a central opening for selectively receiving the insert. The body carries a plurality of locking elements that are distributed circumferentially about the axis and radially repositionable relative to the axis. A release mechanism is slidably positioned on an outer surface of the body to move the prosthetic attachment system between a locked configuration in which the locking elements are radially repositioned to lock the insert in the central opening of the body and an unlocked configuration in which the insert is released from the central opening.

  • Publication number: 20230042794
Abstract: An adjustable seal system includes a seal component having a body having an outer surface defining a socket sealing portion arranged to engage and form an airtight seal with an interior surface of a prosthetic socket. The inner surface of the body defines a liner sealing portion arranged to frictionally engage and seal with an outer surface of a prosthetic liner. • Publication number: 20220192848
Abstract: A prosthetic interface includes a body portion having an open proximal end and a closed distal end including a distal cup. The body portion includes a membrane component having a flexible configuration defining an internal flow space extending along a length of the membrane component between an inner side arranged to face a skin surface of a residual limb and an outer side arranged to face away from the skin surface. At least one material coating is selectively applied to the membrane component that interacts with at least one of the membrane component and the distal cup to define at least one breathable region along the inner side that allows fluid flow between the internal flow space and the residual limb, and at least one impermeable region along the outer side that allows for vacuum suspension between the prosthetic interface and a prosthetic socket.

  • Patent number: 11202716
Abstract: A prosthetic system includes a prosthetic liner adapted to provide an interface between a residual limb and a prosthetic socket, and a valve assembly. The valve assembly is arranged for regulating fluid communication between an interface region defined between the prosthetic liner and the residual limb and a suspension chamber defined between the prosthetic liner and the prosthetic socket. A vacuum in the suspension chamber selectively moves the valve assembly between a closed position in which the valve assembly fluidly separates the suspension chamber from the interface region, and an open position in which a portion of the vacuum in the suspension chamber draws fluid from the interface region via the valve assembly into the suspension chamber.
