  • Publication number: 20060207326
Abstract: A cross-component superconducting gravity gradiometer sensitive to off-diagonal components of the gradient tensor includes, for each gradient axis, a pair of closely matched angular accelerometers coupled by superconducting circuitry, including sensing circuits designed to minimize the sensitivity of the instrument to angular acceleration of the platform at which the angular accelerometers are mounted; and a mode-splitting circuitry designed to reduce a nonlinear coupling of angular acceleration to the output of the gravity gradiometer and to attain the operability of the instrument in a broader range in the frequency domain.

  • Patent number: 6711247
Abstract: A system for handling a call requiring non-standard processing to a call answer point and for providing location information concerning the call to the call answer point, comprising a call routing apparatus for identifying the call as requiring non-standard processing and in response providing a priority routing for the call, translation table apparatus for receiving the call via the priority routing and in response assigning a predetermined designation for indicating the location information, protocol harmonization apparatus for formatting the call for digital transmission to the call answer point, including inserting the predetermined designation in an information portion of the digital transmission, and digital interface apparatus for receiving the call properly formatted for the digital transmission and in response transmitting the call to the call answer point, whereupon the call answer point ascertains the location of origination of the call from the predetermined designation.

  • Patent number: 5347567
Abstract: A system for identifying a specific station, of a plurality of stations serviced by a telephone system, which has initiated a telephone call. The system includes means for providing designation indicia associated with each station within the system. A module at each station includes a control circuit for converting the designation indicia to an electronic format and, at an appropriate time, transmitting the electronically formatted designation indicia to a call-receiving station. In response to a call, the receiving station polls the calling station, and, in response, the calling station transmits the electronically formatted indicia to the call-receiving station.

  • Patent number: 5347568
Abstract: A device for identifying a specific station, among a plurality of geographically-dispersed stations represented by a common phone number and serviced by a common PBX, which has initiated an emergency "9-1-1" telephone call. The specific station having initiated the call is identified to the appropriate public safety answering point (PSAP) which is connected in an enhanced "9-1-1" emergency call network. Typically, the PSAP and PBX have different protocols. The device functions to convert the protocol of the PBX to the protocol of the emergency call network. Further, it assigns an arbitrary designation representing the specific station identified as having initiated the emergency call. Further, the invention transmits the arbitrary designation to the appropriate PSAP for responding to the call.
