  • Patent number: 9475519
Abstract: A steering stop for a steer-by-wire steering system, includes a steering shaft for functionally connecting to a steering wheel, wherein a pressure chamber is provided for each direction of rotation of the steering shaft. A rotation of the steering shaft produces a reduction in the volume of a corresponding pressure chamber, and the steering stop also comprises a hydraulic valve such that resistance against a further rotation of the steering shaft is generated by the operation of said hydraulic valve when predetermined environmental conditions are met.

  • Patent number: 6098489
Abstract: A cable strand end-fitting having a housing which defines a longitudinal bore with internal threads to receive a screw member with external threads, the threads cooperate to allow axial movement of the screw member relative to the housing. A longitudinal passageway through the screw member receives a cable strand extending therethrough, one end of the cable strand is a terminal end bulb which abuts the screw member so the axial movement of the screw member adjusts the cable strand. The housing includes a mounting portion having a cylindrical opening generally perpendicular to the longitudinal bore, the cylindrical opening is adapted to be disposed over a mounting post along the longitudinal axis of the mounting post. A retainer clip secures the end-fitting to the mounting post with opposed locking teeth which are adapted to be positioned through diametrically opposed slots in the mounting portion of the housing thereby engaging the mounting post for securement.

  • Patent number: 4507079
Abstract: Apparatus for discharging solids from a shaft furnace comprises a lock chamber structure, the interior of which is connected to the shaft furnace by a conveyor duct, and a rotor, which is rotatably mounted in the interior of the lock chamber structure and adapted to be driven and arranged to receive solids from the furnace and seals the inlet of the lock chamber from the outlet of the lock chamber. To permit a continuous discharge of solids from the furnace without an escape of gas from the furnace, the rotor consists of a cellular wheel, which has cell-defining walls in a star-shaped configuration. The conveyor duct is connected to a source of a compressed blocking gas. An exhaust gas duct communicates with the interior of the lock chamber structure adjacent to the conveying portion of the cellular wheel between the inlet and the outlet of the cellular wheel.

  • Patent number: 4465592
Abstract: A vibrating conveyor for delivering a stream of green pellets having a predetermined average diameter to a conveying surface of a wide belt conveyor. The vibrating conveyor has a vibrating deck having a discharge edge and conveys the green pellets along a conveyance path to the discharge edge. The discharge edge extends at an acute angle to the conveyance path. A series of elongated distributing bars or rows of bosses protrude upwardly from an upper surface of the deck along the entire conveyance path and extend along lines transverse to, and spaced along, the conveyance path, the elongated distributing bars or bosses having a height of 7.5 to 30 mm.

  • Patent number: 4457840
Abstract: An apparatus for delivering a stream of green pellets has a wide belt conveyor and a vibrating conveyor having a deck for supporting the green pellets and conveying the green pellets to the wide belt conveyor in a direction of conveyance over a discharge edge. The discharge edge has an adjustable configuration and extends at an acute angle to the conveyance direction across the conveyance surface of the wide belt conveyor whereby the green pellets discharged over the edge form a layer on the conveyance surface. A plurality of parallel deck bars are axially slidably connected to the vibrating conveyor deck and have end portions protruding therefrom in the conveyance direction, the protruding deck bar ends defining the discharge edge. The deck bars are connected to drives for axially sliding the deck bars for adjusting the discharge edge configuration.

  • Patent number: 4413812
Abstract: Apparatus for discharging hot flowable solids comprises conical conveyor screws, which are arranged to form a star-shaped array and contained in respective conveyor troughs and at their inner ends are rotatably mounted in a centrally disposed hollow body. In order to ensure a gas-tight seal of the furnace and to permit a simple replacement of the conveyor screws, the conveyor troughs and the centrally disposed, open-bottomed hollow body are constituted by a bottom structure, which is adapted to be flange-connected to the shell of the furnace. The largest depth of each conveyor trough is at least as large as the largest outside diameter of the associated conveyor screw. Each conveyor trough is closed at its outer end by an end wall, which carries a discharge housing, which contains the outer end of the associated conveyor screw and carries a discharge fitting.
