  • Patent number: 4549375
Abstract: A unit for use with a snap-in metal ceiling panel, which comprises an elongated snap-bar comprising spring-like arms extending from a common, integrally formed base portion and terminating in opposed free ends biased towards one another, first and second elongated members held within said spring-like arms and depending from said snap-bar, said first member having a first portion held within said snap-bar and a second portion transverse to said first portion and terminating in a free end, and said second member having a body portion with one edge thereof held within said snap-bar and with a clip portion longitudinally extending along the opposite edge thereof, said clip portion having a spring-like arm integral with said body portion terminating in a free end biased toward said body portion, said clip portion facing away from said transverse portion and being operable to retain a side wall of a metal ceiling panel.

  • Patent number: 4537116
Abstract: Apparatus for producing an air curtain at the perimeter of a room, which comprises a plurality of air curtain units for delivering a thin, fan-shaped flow of air mounted adjacent the interior of the wall defining the room and spaced apart by a distance such that the fan-shaped flow of air delivered by each said air curtain unit overlaps the fan-shaped flow of air delivered by the next adjacent air curtain unit; each said air flow unit having an air inlet, a narrow, elongated air outlet, said air outlet being longer and narrower than said air inlet, and a wall between said air inlet and air outlet defining a flow path for air flowing from said air inlet to said air outlet, said wall having a plurality of cross-sections along said flow path to provide a transition between said air inlet and air outlet.

  • Patent number: 4439973
Abstract: A clip for attachment of metal planking to a T-bar, which comprises an elongated main body having parallel sides, a generally trapezoidal projecting portion, and an intermediate portion integral with and joining the longer base of said trapezoidal portion to a side of said main body portion, all of said portions being coplanar and the bases of said trapezoidal portion being parallel to said main body sides, said intermediate portion being shorter than said longer base to define a pair of opposed open slots between said projecting portion and said main body portion for receiving the edges of the metal plank; and an elongated ear normal to and integral with said trapezoidal portion at each inclined side thereof and extending from the longer base to the shorter base thereof, each said ear being operable, when one edge of a plank is secured in a slot and the free edge of the plank is manually pushed against said ear, to cam the free edge of a plank across said ear and into said slot.
