  • Patent number: 8888070
Abstract: Disclosed is a scissor lift including a bottom frame, a top frame, a scissor mechanism arranged between the bottom frame and the top frame to displace the bottom frame and the top frame in relation to each other by means of the force provided by a linear actuator, a gearing arranged between the scissor mechanism and the linear actuator, where the linear actuator has a linear actuator point of attack at one end of a lever arm of the gearing, where the bottom frame is connected to a bottom frame point of attack at another end of the lever arm and where the scissor mechanism is connected to the lever arm through a lever arm pivotal joint arranged between the linear actuator point of attack and the bottom frame point of attack.

  • Publication number: 20080274919
Abstract: A method and system to reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact in a two-stroke engine. Fresh system oil having a TBN less than 10 is provided and used in the two-stroke engine to produce partially used system oil. The partially used system oil is withdrawn from the two stroke engine and at least one friction modifier is added to at least some of the withdrawn partially used system oil, wherein the addition of the at least one friction modifier reduces the friction coefficient of the withdrawn system oil, resulting in a system oil having reduced friction. The system oil with reduced friction is combined with partially used system oil remaining in said two-stroke and the combined system oil is used to lubricate pistons of said two-stroke engine.

  • Patent number: 7316992
Abstract: A method and system of creating a cylinder oil having a target TBN ranging from 40 to 70 for use in a two-stroke en line. Fresh system oil having a TBN less than 10 is provided. The fresh system oil is used in the two-stroke engine to product partially used system oil. An initial fluid containing at least some partially used system oil is provided. A first TBN of the initial fluid is determined. Cylinder oil having the target TBN is created by blending the initial fluid having the first TBN with at least one suited additive. The cylinder oil is provided to the two-stroke engine.

  • Publication number: 20060191341
Abstract: The invention relates to an ultrasonic gas leak detector of the kind where a detector transducer senses airborne acoustic ultrasonic sound waves emitted from a leakage in a gas installation. The detector is provided with self-test means according to which an ultrasonic signal is emitted by a test transducer provided as an integral part of the detector, this signal being received by the detector transducer. By these means an ongoing self-test of the performance of the essential components of the detector, e.g. the detector transducer itself, the various electronic circuits of the detector, etc., can be carried out and an alert signal can for instance be transmitted to a central alarm system if inappropriate performance of the detector is discovered. The detector according to the invention can be specially designed for fixed installation in an explosion-endangered environment.
