  • Patent number: 11440545
Abstract: A control system for a motor vehicle having a first control unit for controlling a first function of the motor vehicle and a second control unit for controlling a second function of the motor vehicle. In order to ensure, with the least possible additional complexity, that functions of a motor vehicle that are controlled by means of control units are properly executed even in the event of a faulty control unit, the control system has a third control unit for controlling the first function and the second function of the motor vehicle and, depending on the receipt of a fault signal of the first and/or second control unit by the third control unit, the third control unit can be configured such that the motor vehicle first and/or second function corresponding to the faulty control unit can be controlled by means of the third control unit alone.

  • Patent number: 10185014
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging, a particularly quiet magnetic resonance sequence, uses echo-planar imaging with at least one gradient switching in a readout direction, wherein the at least one gradient switching in the readout direction has a slew rate that is less than a maximum slew rate defined by system specification parameters of the magnetic resonance apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10036791
Abstract: In a method and a magnetic resonance system for acquiring MR data in a predetermined volume segment of an examination subject, an RF excitation pulse is radiated and MR data are acquired along trajectories extending radially through the center of k-space. The MR data of one k-space spoke, which corresponds to one half of a trajectory, are acquired while gradients are switched. Starting from the same RF excitation pulse, only MR data of one k-space spoke are acquired by starting in the k-space center, acquiring the MR data continuously up to the k-space periphery. The echo time is greater than 1 ms.

    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Martin Ott
  • Patent number: 10012712
Abstract: For each k-space line, a time period is defined that starts with the application of the RF pulse directly prior to the acquisition of the respective k-space line, and ends at the time point of the echo during the acquisition of the MR data of the respective k-space line. This time period is set shorter for those k-space lines that lie in a central region of k-space than for k-space lines that lie outside of the central region.

  • Publication number: 20120198412
Abstract: The invention comprises a system and method for employing video in development processes. A new theory of operation for mapping video to formal models is disclosed. The present invention combines a runtime component and an object memory with an transformer component and offers several inputs and outputs. At least one capture device allows input of video. Video is structurally decomposed into shots and annotated following a semiology-based video model and stored in object memory. A runtime component determines the shots that are played back on one or more displays. A spectator may influence the runtime component by changing its state via at least one controller. One or more downstream development processes can access the object memory to extract customary models for requirements specification.
