  • Patent number: 7124844
Abstract: A recreational vehicle such as a snowmobile, personal watercraft, all-terrain vehicle, motorcycle, or boat has a straddle-type seat that includes a flexible sheet of material pulled tightly over a gap formed in a seat frame. In certain embodiments, a tightening mechanism ensures that the flexible sheet of material is pulled tightly over the gap. The flexible sheet of material forms a hammock-like straddle-type seat. The flexible sheet of material is a mesh material that allows water, snow, dust, and other debris to fall through the mesh to avoid debris buildup on the seat. Because water falls through the mesh material and both the top and bottom sides of the mesh material are exposed to the ambient air, the seat dries quickly.

  • Patent number: 6994434
Abstract: The eyewear described comprises a lens having, at opposite lateral sides thereof, a pair of detachable ear stems which are adapted to move from an inwardly folded position to an outwardly ear contacting position. The lens displays, at each lateral side, an opening and a stem connecting portion that defines a hinge element forming an integral part of the lens. The proximal end portion of the ear stem defines a U-shaped recess which is engageable with the hinge element. The recess is formed by a pair of resilient branches which, together with a constriction at the entry of the recess, enables a snap-in engagement and a snap-out disengagement of the ear stem to and from the lens. No additional component is required for this three-piece eyewear.

  • Patent number: 6227665
Abstract: Sport eyeglasses having removable lenses formed of a one piece plastic molded frame that includes a pair of lens receiving sections, a pair of opposite strap receiving temple sections and a central bridge section integral with the lens receiving sections are described herein. The bridge section is split to define an upper bridge part and a lower bridge part which are capable of being manually distanced from one another so as to define a gap and allowing lenses to be mounted in the lens receiving sections. A fastening element extends through both bridge parts to secure them together once the lenses are installed in the lens receiving sections.

  • Patent number: 5963295
Abstract: A protective eyeglass assembly for use during sport activities comprises a pair of separate lens frames individually cooperating with a lens holder to secure a pair of lenses therebetween. A detachable nose bridge interconnects the pair of separate lens frames with the lens holder so as to form a unitary eyeglass assembly, easily dismountable for lens replacement due to lens damage or lens prescription.

  • Patent number: 5760867
Abstract: An eyeglass construction is described and comprises a lens, a pair of lens engaging members, a pair of hinge members, and a pair of temple pieces. The hinge members are adapted to slidably engage the lens engaging members and to be connected therewith for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis. The pair of temple pieces each have a portion adapted to engage a hinge member and to be connected therewith for pivotal movement about a substantially vertical axis. The lens engaging member and the hinge member have cooperating angular positioning elements so that the members may be adjusted relative to one another to enable the lens to adopt various angular position relative to the temple pieces.

  • Patent number: 4437543
Abstract: A control system for a personnel carrier attached to a boom which is displaceable by pressure fluid. The control system comprises at least one hand operable controlled handle axially rotatable in a limited clockwise or counter-clockwise direction to cause the boom to be elevated or lowered, respectively. A control valve is associated with the control handle and has at least one adjustable pressure fluid control component therein to control the displacement of the boom. A movable linkage is secured at one end to the control handle and at an opposed end to the fluid control component whereby rotation of the control handle causes displacement of the control component to regulate the pressure fluid which in turn controls the displacement of the boom.
