  • Publication number: 20220289007
Abstract: A drive system for a spoiler roof assembly of a motor vehicle, having a support bar connected to a movable roof part, a control mechanism engaging the support bar to shift the support bar between closed, ventilation and open positions, and a guide rail assembly in which the control mechanism is guided for longitudinal displacement. The control mechanism has a rear deployment lever coupled to the support bar by an upper point of articulation and mounted for pivoting between rest and deployed positions on a displaceable deployment carriage. A forced mechanical control shifts the deployment lever between the rest and deployed positions depending on displacement of the deployment carriage. The forced machanical control is formed by a control lever pivotably mounted at one end on the deployment lever and at the other end on a stationary bearing section of the guide rail assembly.

  • Patent number: 5645033
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling the drive power of a motor vehicle equipped with a chargeable spark-ignition engine. In this method and arrangement, the engine power is adjusted via the air input and the charging pressure independently of each other as a function of the accelerator pedal deflection. In one range of the accelerator pedal deflection, the engine power is adjusted by adjusting an engine power actuator in dependence upon the accelerator pedal deflection and/or, in another range, the charging pressure is adjusted in dependence upon the accelerator pedal deflection.

  • Patent number: 5622153
Abstract: For detecting a backward revolution of a revolving component of an internal combustion engine, with a sensor which senses a revolving component having at least one angular mark, the backward revolution is assumed when a prescribable value between two pulses of the signal of the sensor is exceeded, and stalling is detected after it is ensured that the backward revolution of the internal combustion engine has taken place, and outputting of further injections and/or ignitions is suppressed until a resynchronization of the system takes place after a prescribable time has passed.

  • Patent number: 4856465
Abstract: The oil pressure applied to a hydraulic device for controlling within a limited angular range of a cam shaft and its drive gear is controlled by a magnetic valve (35) which is switched between its open and closed position under control of the same microcomputer which controls engine ignition and/or fuel injection with reference to a predetermined function of some of the same engine operation parameters, namely engine speed and engine load, which are used to control ignition and/or fuel injection. The control function can advantageously also take account of rate of change of engine load or engine speed. A transducer (43) for reporting back the sleeve (22) which controls the mechanical rotary shift in response to oil pressure can be used to provide an actual value signal to the computer for generation of an error signal for controlling the magnetic valve so as to provide a continuous control of the overlap of the open periods of the intake and exhaust valves of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4527523
Abstract: Fluctuations of engine speed in the frequency range from 2 to 8 Hz, which produce "bucking" behavior of a motor vehicle, are detected by passing engine speed signals through a filter which reduces and delays the oscillations and a difference signal is then produced between the original and the processed speed signal in order to derive an alternating signal in the form of a square wave indicating the sign of a correction to be made to engine ignition timing for counteracting the bucking oscillations of engine speed. The square wave determines the sign of an anti-bucking ignition timing correction factor, of which the absolute value may be constant or may vary according to the sign of the correction and, if desired, also in accordance with engine operation parameters.
