  • Patent number: 8951942
Abstract: A method for the preparation of carbon nanotube modified fluids such, that the dispersion of nanotubes in such fluids, exampled by those which are oil based is enhanced through the combined use of mechanical, sonic and ultrasonic devices.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 19, 2009
Date of Patent: February 10, 2015
Inventors: Martin Pick, Krzysztof Kazimiers Koziol, Alan Hardwick Windle
  • Patent number: 8419816
Abstract: Provided is a gas isolation valve which separates reactive materials, principally gases, contained in a high temperature reactor from the surrounding atmosphere. The valve is of modular construction with each module having a gas providing section and a gas removal section. Any number of modules can be provided in series. A central chamber, open at each end gives unimpeded access to the high temperature reactor. It is through the central chamber that the product of the reactor is removed and harvested. In the case of Ilas invention the product is carbon nanotubes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 21, 2006
Date of Patent: April 16, 2013
    Assignee: Q-Flo Ltd.
    Inventors: Martin Pick, Stephen Cash
  • Publication number: 20130028830
Abstract: A method of increasing the density of carbon nanotube fibres or films containing carbon nanotubes to at least 50% w/w, said method including the steps of exposing the fibre or film to suitable density enhancing agent.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 5, 2012
    Publication date: January 31, 2013
Inventors: Martin Pick, Alan Hardwick Windle, Jose Vilatela Garcia, Krzysztof Kazimiers Koziol
