  • Publication number: 20100127522
Abstract: A gripping assembly, comprising gripper elements (2, 3) adapted to be opened and closed for gripping and clamping a load, is adapted to be secured to the boom of traveling equipment. A control mechanism (40) is provided for controlling the opening and closing movements of gripper elements (2, 3) between an opened and a closed condition. The control mechanism (40) senses the relative movements between two parts of the gripping assembly, with a locking element of the control mechanism (40) being movable between a released position in which gripper elements (2, 3) perform a closing movement and a locked position in which the gripper elements (2, 3) are held in their opened position. When the opened gripping assembly is suspended from the boom and undergoes swinging movements, means, incorporated in control mechanism (40) and adapted to slow down movements of the locking element, prevent the locking element from reaching the released position.

  • Patent number: 6491482
Abstract: A milling method is provided in which a finished part of any desired contour is milled from a blank of any desired contour by the milling tool being guided on a continuous, spiral guide path from the blank continuously to the finished part. In this case, material is continuously removed during the milling operation without ever lifting the tool or clamping the workpiece in place again. This results in a reduced machining time of the workpiece. The continuous, spiral guide path permits a harmonic change of form from the blank to the finished part with smooth guidance of the tool. The method can also be carried out with ceramic tools.

  • Patent number: 5037236
Abstract: A stone-laying machine is provided have laying tongs fixed to a boom arm which can be controlled from the driver's cab. The front and rear wheels of the machine are rotatable about points of rotation lying on a longitudinal center line behind the front axle and in front of the rear axle, respectively. In order to prevent overturning of the machine when the front and rear axles are swivelled in relation to one another, the center of gravity of the machine is altered with respect to conventional stone-laying machines by relocating the boom arm relative to the front axle.

  • Patent number: 4425877
Abstract: A cooling arrangement for liquid-cooled internal combustion engines, with the cooling arrangement including a heat exchanger constructed as a radiator for effecting cooling between air and a coolant liquid. The cooling arrangement includes a housing accommodating a thermostat with a mixing chamber, defined in the housing, being connected with a return flow coolant tank. The thermostat is adapted to provide for temperature dependent regulated portions of cooled and uncooled liquid coolant flowing into the mixing chamber. The housing of the thermostat, a bypass connection piece, and an outlet connection of the housing are molded, in one piece to the return flow coolant tank of the heat exchanger. A lid or cover provided with recesses as well as window-like openings formed in a portion of the housing form an inside connection between the return flow coolant tank and the mixing chamber with the connection being controlled by a radiator valve disk of a thermostat insert of the thermostat.
