  • Publication number: 20240136634
Abstract: A battery module having a plurality of battery cells (2) which are electrically conductively connected to one another in series and/or in parallel and are arranged adjacent to one another in a longitudinal direction (3) of the battery module (1), so that a cell stack (25) is formed. An end plate unit (4) is arranged adjacent to a terminally arranged battery cell (21), wherein the end plate unit (4) comprises at least two end plates (5) formed separately from one another, which are each mechanically connected to a same side surface (6) of the terminally arranged battery cell (21).

  • Patent number: 11623272
Abstract: A casting tool for a piston may include a casting mold for forming a piston part from a casting melt and a casting head including a feeder for feeding the casting melt into the casting mold. The casting head may include a ring-shaped groove, and the groove may include an inner groove flank for forming the casting melt into a circumferential, ring-shaped sealing rib such that an inner rib flank of the sealing rib rests with a sealing effect against the inner groove flank when the casting melt solidifies in the groove. Additionally or alternatively, the casting head may include a ring-shaped collar, and the collar may include an outer collar flank for forming the casting melt to provide a circumferential, ring-shaped sealing groove such that an outer groove flank of the sealing groove rests with a sealing effect against the outer collar flank when the casting melt solidifies.

  • Publication number: 20170028464
Abstract: A method for producing a piston with a combustion bowl may include fastening an annular fibrous preform for reinforcing a periphery of the combustion bowl in a casting mold for the piston coaxially with a piston axis in a plane of a piston head. The method may also include introducing a metal melt into the casting mold to produce a piston blank, generating a pressure difference between the metal melt and the fibrous preform for infiltration of the metal melt into the fibrous preform, and machining the piston blank. The fibrous preform may be held in the casting mold by suction tubes in which a negative pressure may prevail such that the metal melt may be sucked into and infiltrate the fibrous preform. At least one section of at least one of the suction tubes may accelerate solidification of the metal melt passing into the suction tube.

  • Patent number: 6957489
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to produce a light-alloy bearing bush with a rough external surface. To achieve this, particles, which are subsequently surrounded in part by the molten metal, are applied to the surface of the casting mould. When the bearing bush is released from the mould, the particles remain in said bush and are subsequently removed from the bearing bush preform either mechanically or by being dissolved in liquid.

  • Patent number: 6837298
Abstract: To prevent, in a cooled ring carrier (1) for pistons, durinh Alfin bonding, the formation of oxides induced by air that escapes due to porous ring carrier material and, as a consequence, an impairment of the ring carrier bond. To this end, the cooled ring carrier, once the ring carrier part and the sheet metal part (3) have been linked, is subjected to negative pressure in a vacuum tank.
