  • Patent number: 7588279
Abstract: A vehicle such as a recreational vehicle includes a slide-out portion such as a slide-out compartment, slide-out patio, etc that moves between a retracted position and an extended position to increase the living space in the vehicle. The slide-out portion includes a second floor that is positioned adjacent to a main floor when the slide-out portion is retracted. A slide-out mechanism is used to move the second floor between the retracted position and the extended position. The second floor may be at least substantially flush with the main floor when the slide-out portion is in the extended position.

  • Publication number: 20080238119
Abstract: A vehicle includes at least two items that move vertically between a lowered position and a raised position. In one embodiment, one of the items is a seating unit having a seat back and a seat base such as a couch or a dinette. The seating unit may convert into a bed. In another embodiment, one of the items may be a bed. The vehicle may also include a cargo area which is configured to receive an off-road vehicle. One or more of the items may be lifted in the cargo area to provide additional cargo space in the vehicle. The vehicle may also include other items that move vertically such as a desk, a table, a workbench, an entertainment center, an appliance, a television, a sink, a cupboard, a cabinet, a shelf, and/or a counter.

  • Patent number: 7401799
Abstract: Disclosed is a recumbent bicycle having a frame with at least one tubular member having a lumen. Mounted to the frame are a rear wheel assembly and a transmission assembly. The transmission assembly can include a first gear, a second gear, and a chain that extends from the first gear to the second gear and through the lumen of the at least one tubular member. Pedals and crank arms can mount to the second gear, which is slidable relative to the first gear to vary the position of the second gear relative to a seat mounted to the frame. A suspension assembly can mount a pair of front wheels to the frame at a location intermediate of the first portion and the second portion of the frame. The bicycle enables riders of different leg lengths to use the recumbent bicycle, while the suspension assembly cushions the rider during use.

  • Patent number: 7369053
Abstract: A de-icing information system processes weather data indicating precipitation rate and temperature to determine a check time for a de-icing fluid. The de-icing fluid remains effective if applied after the check time, and the de-icing fluid may not remain effective if applied before the check time. The de-icing information system transfers the de-icing information indicating the check time.

  • Patent number: 7191643
Abstract: A sensor system comprises a first sensor, a second sensor, and circuitry. The first sensor collects non-frozen liquid with a first collection efficiency, but does not collect frozen liquid. The second sensor collects non-frozen liquid with a second collection efficiency and also collects frozen liquid. The first collection efficiency and the second collection efficiency are substantially equivalent. The circuitry maintains the first sensor and the second sensor at a substantially constant temperature. The circuitry determines a measurement of the frozen liquid based on maintaining the first sensor and the second sensor at the substantially constant temperature. In some examples, multiple sensor systems can be used in combination to improve the accuracy of the measurement.
