  • Publication number: 20230203590
Abstract: The present invention relates to the diagnosis of lung tumors. It provides methods suitable both for diagnosing lung tumors on the basis of surgical samples and lung biopsies (here, e.g., with the aid of DNA microarrays) and of liquid biopsies. In the case of liquid biopsies, cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is used. In this context, both particularly suitable analysis methods and particularly suitable sets of methylation markers are described. Means suitable for diagnosing lung cancer by examinining the methylation of a set of methylation markers, e.g., in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) from liquid biopsy samples of patients, wherein the means comprises oligonucleotides which can hybridize to DNA comprising the methylation markers, as well as the use of said methods and means for diagnosing, i.e., e.g., determinination, subtyping and prognostic characterization of lung tumors are also an object of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20040067476
Abstract: A training device (1) is proposed with actuating elements (2, 3) which can be moved continuously in rotation and are connected to one another and are intended for a pair of limbs of a person, which device comprises means (4) for driving and/or braking the actuating elements (2, 3), and an electronics unit (8) for regulating and/or controlling the movement of the actuating elements. According to the invention, the electronics unit (8) is designed to bring the respective speed of the actuating elements, in each case in a portion in the area of dead centers of the rotary movement of the actuating elements, to a predetermined value, preferably to a substantially identical value, but to permit between said portions an acceleration of the actuating elements (2, 3) if a person training applies a targeted torque in a predetermined direction of movement of the actuating elements (2, 3).

  • Patent number: 6607471
Abstract: A movement training device includes two movable actuating elements for a pair of extremities of a person. At least one electric motor drives and/or brakes the actuating elements and an electronic unit regulates and/or controls the movement of the actuating elements. The invention provides sensors for determining extremities-based measurement values that give information about which load is acting on the respective actuating element, whereby on the basis of the extremities-based measurement values of at least one extremity, the electronic unit regulates and/or controls the movement of the actuating elements.

  • Patent number: 6593710
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a movement device, which makes possible an improved conclusion concerning the cooperation of a person with impaired mobility during training. In a first solution, “active phases”, related to a side, represent a quantity, which corresponds to the time, to the path or to the angle of the active phases traversed. In a second solution, this procedure is related to the actuating elements, considered as a unit. In further parallel solutions, an evaluation takes place with regard to a first quantity, which represents the active phases, and a second quantity, which expresses the passive phases, and moreover for side-related and integral training, that is, training, in which the actuating elements are considered in totality.

Moreover, a side-related and an angle-related training parameter objective with corresponding notification or display is proposed.

  • Patent number: 5879269
Abstract: A training device is proposed having a crank for a training device for the physically disabled includes a crank, an electric motor which is connected to the crank, power electronics which are designed at least for driving the motor, and means for regulating and/or controlling the rotation speed at the crank. The training device for the physically disabled, makes it possible to use their residual movement capabilities and residual muscle power, in order to ensure a training sequence that is as effective as possible. The means for regulating and/or controlling the rotation speed are designed for a rotation speed change .DELTA.n as a function of the torque M.sub.K on the crank .DELTA.n=f(M.sub.K), a new rotation speed n.sub.new being obtained from the old rotation speed n.sub.old in accordance with the relationship n.sub.new =n.sub.old +.DELTA.n, and the function .DELTA.n=f(M.sub.K) being different for specific value ranges of M.sub.K defined in advance.
