  • Publication number: 20090105583
Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining attenuation values for PET data of a patient. In at least one embodiment, the method includes detecting at least one accessory of a magnetic resonance imaging scanner and detecting the position and/or alignment of the accessory by way of an imaging measuring method; comparing the detected accessory with data from a database; and assigning an attenuation map, which is contained in the database, to attenuation values of the detected accessory and adapting the attenuation map to the detected position and/or alignment of the accessory.

  • Publication number: 20090027052
Abstract: A PET examination which acquires a data record of the body of a patient is carried out during at least one embodiment of a method for acquiring measured data. On the basis of the measured values of the data record, at least one region of interest in the body of the patient is determined, in which at least one examination of at least one embodiment of a method is carried out.

  • Publication number: 20080229281
Abstract: In a method, a device and a system as well as a modality and a computer program product for integration of a data object into a medical data set, the data object and the medical data set are associated with a patient examination. The medical data set is formatted according to a DICOM standard. The data object is formatted according to a standard other than the DICOM standard. The data object is integrated into the medical data set via at least one shadow group object and a running and/or planned process in connection with the patient examination can be controlled dependent on the integrated data object.

  • Publication number: 20080171932
Abstract: A method and system for detecting lymph nodes in multiple complementary magnetic resonance (MR) sequences is disclosed. Anatomical landmarks, such as blood vessels, are extracted in a first MR sequence, such as an MR angiography (MRA) image. A search area is defined in at least one second MR sequence, such as a T1 weighted VIBE image, based on the anatomical landmarks extracted the first MR sequence. Lymph nodes are then detected in the search area of the second MR sequence. The lymph nodes can be detected by segmenting the search area into homogenous regions and determining whether each region is a lymph node using feature analysis.

  • Patent number: 7145334
Abstract: In a method and MR apparatus for the automatic segmentation of flow images acquired by magnetic resonance tomography for the depiction of tissue or organs traversed with fluid such as blood, at least one phase image of a selected region of the subject is acquired by magnetic resonance tomography, and fluid-traversed regions in the at least one phase image are automatically segmented.

  • Publication number: 20050038370
Abstract: A fastening device is for anchoring a surgical or diagnostic medical aid in the tissue of a human or animal hollow organ. The fastening device includes an anchor head, which is configured to penetrate the tissue; a driving device for driving the anchor head into the tissue; and a trigger device to trigger the driving of the anchor head into the tissue.

  • Publication number: 20030110260
Abstract: A computer program product has a check routine and an active part. When the computer program product is called, a computer, while processing the check routine, initiates a transmitter to send a launch signal. A transponder receives this signal, checks whether a time-dependent and/or usage-dependent transmission condition is met and transmits an enable code as warranted. A receiver receives the enable code and communicates it to the computer. The computer checks the enable code and undertakes processing of the active part only when the enable code satisfies an enable condition.

  • Publication number: 20020176614
Abstract: A method for navigation-supported graphic presentation of position-dependent measured information of elongate body organs allows a selection as well as a variation of a position along the multi-dimensional course of a three-dimensional graphic reconstruction of an elongate organ by entry of a one-dimensional control signal and a simultaneous presentation of a section through this body organ at the selected position.

  • Patent number: 6397097
Abstract: In a method and control apparatus for tracking a contrast agent using an imaging medical device a test bolus of a contrast agent is initially injected into an examination subject, followed by an injection of a main bolus at a time interval of &Dgr;ti. The arrival of the test bolus in the observation volume is chronologically determined by periodically repeated survey measurements. An image data measurement is started at a time interval &Dgr;tm subsequent to the detection of the test bolus, this time interval &Dgr;tm being defined according to the prescribed time interval &Dgr;ti.
