The system achieves very favorable stowabilty while still providing a wide range of height adjustability to accommodate a range of patients with decreased loading on the head/spine alignment. The system also includes at least one strap(s) to secure the patient by bi-laterally connecting each side of the cervical collar to the patient carrier. An accessory wedge is utilizes for patients requiring a wider range of head support.
