    Abstract: A calibration method includes (a) connecting a impedance measuring device to an impedance standard which has at least two excitation terminals for feeding an excitation signal and two measuring terminals for determining a measurement signal, and which has a fixed or adjustable impedance which corresponds to the impedance target; (b) applying a voltage signal to the excitation terminals and measuring the current flowing through the impedance standard due to the voltage signal at the measuring terminals; or supplying a current signal to the excitation terminals and measuring the dropping voltage at the measuring terminals; and (c) calibrating the impedance measuring device against the impedance standard to the impedance target. The geometrical arrangement of terminals of the impedance standard corresponds to the geometrical arrangement of the terminals of the cell of which the impedance is to be measured.

    Abstract: A heating device for a hob has a flat carrier having a heating conductor side with heating conductors thereon and a switching device, the switching device having a movable switching contact and a mating contact associated therewith. The switching device has a switching arm movable in itself, said switching arm carries the switching contact and is electrically connected to an electric arm connecting means. The switching arm is fastened on the carrier and is formed from a bimetal strip. The mating contact is electrically connected to an electric mating connection means and fastened on the carrier. Switching arm, switching contact and mating contact are designed and arranged such that when a pre-defined switching temperature is exceeded, the switching contact and the mating contact are brought together, triggering a switching operation as a hot indicator for the hob, by the movement of the switching arm due to increasing heat.

The manual reactivation means have a movable handle and transmission means for transmitting a force of an operator for reactivating the switching means after switching off the heating device by the trigger. The transmission means have a click spring which at the beginning is in a basic position and, when an operating force acting on said click spring exceeds a certain limit force, clicks to a deflected position. Said click spring in the basic position enables reactivating or re-switching on, respectively, of the switching means.

    Abstract: Techniques related to group determination based on multi-table dictionary codes are disclosed. In some embodiments, one or more non-transitory storage media store a sequence of instructions which, when executed by one or more computing devices, cause performance of a method. The method comprises storing a fact table and a dimension table that share a domain dictionary. The fact table and the dimension table each have a column of encoded join keys that is decodable using the shared domain dictionary. A query may specify one or more row groups for the dimension table. To efficiently process the query, one or more group identifiers are assigned to the one or more row groups. Each row group corresponds to a different group identifier. This enables a code-to-group-identifier mapping to be generated. The code-to-group-identifier mapping correlates the encoded join keys to the one or more group identifiers.
