Abstract: A telephone security device is placed in the telephone line between the primary transmission network and receiver. Incoming telephone calls are automatically answered and monitored for a predetermined time. When a proper code is supplied by the calling party during the monitored time interval, an audio alert is sounded so the called party may pick up the phone and responsd in a normal manner. If the phone is not picked up during the time interval, the call is terminated.
