  • Patent number: 11359725
Abstract: A radial shaft seal seals a rotating shaft guided out of a liquid-loaded interior chamber, has a seal housing, an annular sealing body therein bearing against and sealing the shaft using a sealing lip, and an annular, metallic supporting body positioning the sealing body/bodies to seal interior from exterior. The supporting body presses the sealing body against the housing rear wall and is press fit and weldable there. A positioning cylinder with an outer shell is on the supporting body. An elastomer sealing body positioning cap with an elastomer sealing body is press fit on the outer shell so that the sealing body bears against a supporting body supporting web press-on collar and has a self-supporting supporting arch web, at the pressure space-side end of which is the sealing lip. A cord spring is centrally above the arch web on the sealing body outer circumference in an outer groove.

  • Patent number: 11167989
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for recovering phosphorus by thermochemical reaction of a phosphorus-containing material such as an alternative fuel, for example, in the presence of calcium-containing particles in a moving bed reactor and subsequent separation of fines enriched with phosphorus from the moving bed reactor. Furthermore, the present invention concerns the use of a recyclable material obtained by the method as a fertilizer or fertilizer additive.

  • Publication number: 20160153561
Abstract: A radial shaft seal for sealing a rotating shaft led out from a space filled with a fluid medium, for example for sealing the drive shaft of a coolant pump, minimizes wear, especially the starting wear acting upon the sealing lips in double lip sealing systems, and allows end-of-line motor tests with coolant pumps without cooling liquid for up to several hours without damages to the radial shaft seal. The radial shaft seal includes two sealing bodies, an outer lip element on the pressure side and an inner lip element on the atmosphere side, each having a sealing cylinder resting on the shaft or the sleeve, arranged in a sealing housing with a joined metal supporting body, the sealing cylinders having three adjoining sealing cylinder regions such that on each pressure side a conical inlet surface and opposite thereof on each negative pressure side a conical outlet surface are provided, in each case a cylindrical contact zone being present between the conical inlet surface and the conical outlet surface.

  • Patent number: 9239116
Abstract: The invention relates to a radial shaft seal for sealing a shaft (2), which is guided through a housing wall opening (3). The seal comprises at least one first membrane-like, annular sealing element (15) with a sealing lip (22) which can be positioned against the shaft (2) in a sealing manner; a metallic, annular supporting element (16), onto which the sealing element (15) is pulled; and a centring surface (19) formed at the outer circumference of the edge area (18). In order to increase the lifespan of the seal, said seal can be surrounded by an adapter part (6) made from undulating curved sheet metal, which can be inserted flush into the housing wall opening (3). The adapter part (6) has a central, cylindrical opening (8) which is provided with a shoulder (11) at the rear end thereof in the compression direction. The centring surface (19) of the supporting body (16) has an allowance for the cylindrical opening (8) of the adapter part (6), and is pushed into said opening in a press-fitting manner.

  • Publication number: 20120121492
Abstract: A process and a system treat a synthesis gas originating from a biomass gasification, which contains the following steps: a) performing a first quenching of the synthesis gas at a first temperature and a first pressure; b) performing a second quenching of the quenched synthesis gas at a second temperature and a second pressure, wherein the second temperature is lower than the first temperature; c) scrubbing the twice-quenched synthesis gas in an oil scrubber at a scrubbing temperature which is in the range of the second temperature; d) purifying the quenched and scrubbed synthesis gas in a catalyst-doped adsorption stage; and e) feeding the thus-purified synthesis gas into a refining process. The thus-described multistage prepurification by quenching and also an absorption/desorption stage and if appropriate reactive adsorption and also if appropriate HDS catalysis and/or chemisorption fulfils this object in an excellent manner.

  • Patent number: 4563204
Abstract: A quantity of tritium of less than 1 mol per hour is continuously withdrawn from the vaporization chamber of a low-temperature rectifying column by means of a withdrawal system. The withdrawal system consists basically of two parallel-connected vacuum tanks which are alternately connected to the vaporization chamber via a withdrawal line containing a control valve. During operation, one of the vacuum tanks is connected to the low-temperature rectifying column and filled with tritium. As soon as one of the vacuum tanks has been filled with tritium, emptying of the tank starts while the second vacuum tank is connected to the vaporization chamber and similarly filled and then emptied.
