Abstract: The techniques described herein implement a proxy service associated with a public cloud platform. A proxy server receives a connection request sent via an account. The connection request includes a connection parameter such as a specific time the request is initiated, a specific location of a device used to initiate the request, or an identification of the device used to initiate the request. The proxy server maps the account to a policy. The proxy server then determines whether the connection parameter included in the request is anomalous to a corresponding parameter defined in the policy. In an event the connection parameter is an anomalous parameter, the proxy server takes actions to determine whether the policy can be dynamically updated to accommodate the anomalous parameter. If an accommodation can be made, a user or device does not have to wait an extended period of time to gain access to the resource.

Abstract: A system for providing a feedback loop to teach braille literacy includes a device having information stored thereon corresponding to at least one braille character formed thereon. A reader communicates with the device and reads the information corresponding to the at least one braille character. A computing device communicates with the reader to receive the read information and determines the at least one braille character from the read information. The computing device communicates with a speaker causing the speaker to broadcast the at least one braille character corresponding to the information read by the reader.

Abstract: A system for implementing an individualized education plan (IEP) has a database storing a goal of the IEP, an objective of an IEP, skill sets to learn determined as a function of the IEP, and a list of games, each game requiring a skill set determined as a function of the IEP. A browser communicates with the database. The browser selects an IEP, a specific skill to learn, and a game; selected as a function of the skills to learn. A game controller communicates with the database and receives the skill to learn and the selected game and determines rules of operation of the game as a function of the game and the selected skills to learn. A gaming device, communicates with the game controller, and operating in accordance with the rules of operation produces performance information as a function of gameplay. The game controller determines progress of the skills to be acquired as a function of the performance information.

A portion of the data that represents an acoustic signature for the acoustic event of interest is identified. An azimuth angle may be computed for an acoustic event using the portion of the data identified. An elevation angle for the acoustic event is computed using a beamforming process customized based on the azimuth angle computed.

In turn, the user provides product and technical answers, or attributes, which are stored in a repository. A globalization plan generator uses the product and technical attributes to generate a software development plan. In addition, a globalization verification test generator uses the globalization plan to generate a test plan and measure the success of the software product based upon the test plan.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement comprising a shunt resistor with at least an electrically conductive first connecting leg and an electrically conductive second connecting leg. A resistance area of the shunt resistor is electrically connected to the first connecting leg and to the second connecting leg. The arrangement further comprises a circuit carrier with a first metallization and a second metallization. The first connecting leg is directly joined to the first metallization and the second connecting leg is directly joined to the second metallization. The resistance area of the shunt resistor is in thermal contact with the thermally conductive substrate by use of a thermal filler arranged between the resistance area and the substrate, and/or by directly contacting the resistance area with the substrate. The invention further relates to a method for producing an arrangement with a shunt resistor and a circuit carrier.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for testing software. A set of questions regarding the application is presented, wherein the set of questions are selected from a database. In response to receiving a user input to the set of questions, the application is tested to form identified testing. In response to identifying testing, a testing report is generated using the identified testing, wherein the testing report includes links to testing instructions for the identified testing for the application.

Abstract: An improved method, apparatus, and computer instructions for evaluating acquisition costs for a software product. A set of questions regarding the software product is presented. The set of questions are selected from a source. Costs for acquiring the software product are identified in response to receiving a user input to the set of questions. A report is generated using the costs, wherein the report is used to evaluate whether to acquire the software product in response to identifying the costs.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a modular telemedicine system with a universal adapter that connects diagnostic, identification and audiovisual communication function modules, at least one of which is present at the patient's location, to a variable process module that performs data transmission, processing and output. The connection of the system, which can be used anywhere, to a physician's receiving center facilitates the mobile telemedical treatment of patients. Preferably, the system comprises a plurality of function modules for the recording of data. Simplified, basic operation of all function modules is made possible through a hard-wired connection between the function module and the universal adapter, and data can be transmitted to corresponding process modules wirelessly or hard-wired. Each function module can be used separately or in combination with the universal adapter and the process module.

The fill pack includes a plurality of vertically or obliquely positioned corrugated or folded sheets or plates which are superposed and joined to each other in such a manner that the corrugations or folds of adjoining sheets cross each other only in the upper part of the fill pack, while the corrugations or folds of adjoining sheets are generally parallel to each other in the lower part of the fill pack.
