  • Patent number: 11517029
Abstract: The probiotic composition comprises at least one lactic acid bacteria strain, preferably Lactobacillus with intestinal tropism, for use in promoting juvenile growth in livestock, with stimulation of linear growth and/or of IGF-1 level. Exemplary lactic acid bacteria include Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus paracasei and Lactobacillus rhamnosus. The strains can be selected in a mouse model. The invention also relates to a probiotic treatment method using this composition.

  • Publication number: 20170080034
Abstract: The invention relates to a pharmaceutical or probiotic composition comprising at least one Lactobacillus strain with intestinal tropism, especially selected from the species Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus fermentum and Lactobacillus casei, used to stimulated juvenile growth in cases of malnutrition especially characterised by a protein deficiency. The strains can be selected from a vinegar fly model and/or a mouse model. The invention also relates to a method for probiotic treatment using said composition.

  • Publication number: 20140292617
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for synchronizing video signals transmitted to a plurality of display devices participating in a spanned desktop environment is disclosed. The method includes the steps of generating an image for display on a spanned desktop environment that includes a plurality of display devices, allocating a portion of the image to each display device in the plurality of display devices, and, for each display device, transmitting a video signal to the display device that represents the portion of the image allocated to that display device. The timing of each video signal is based on a relative position of the display device in a display grid.

  • Patent number: 8537146
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention sets forth a method for toggling between video scanouts generated by a plurality of graphics processing units. The method includes the steps of transmitting a set of programming instructions to a first graphics processing unit and to a second graphics processing unit, configuring a first state machine within the first graphics processing unit to cause a trigger signal to be included with each video frame transmitted by the first graphics processing unit for display, and configuring a second state machine within the second graphics processing unit to cause a trigger signal to be included with each video frame transmitted by the second graphics processing unit for display. The method advantageously creates a direct relationship between the transmission frequencies of the individual graphics processing units and the switching frequency of a video bridge, not relying on a driver to control the video bridge switching.

  • Patent number: 8203573
Abstract: A method for assembling image data for transport across a digital video interface includes receiving and converting first-formatted pixel data to a second-formatted pixel data. The second-formatted pixel data is readable by a rendering device, the second-formatted pixel data having a bit width that differs from an input bit width standard of the digital video interface. The second-formatted pixel data is assembled into a transport packet having a bit width which is equal to the input bit width standard of the digital video interface. The digital video interface is operable to receive the transport packet comprising the second-formatted pixel data, and thereby communicate the second-formatted pixel data to the rendering device.

  • Patent number: 8115778
Abstract: A method for selecting a pixel output format includes selecting a first pixel to be output, and determining whether the first pixel to be output overlaps with a second pixel. The second pixel is available in the first format from a first source, and in a second format from a second source. The method further includes converting the second pixel in the second format to the first format to produce a converted second pixel. The converted second pixel is compared to the second pixel having the first format, and the second pixel having the first format or the second pixel having the second format is selected for output based upon the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7308759
Abstract: A method for production of a multi-layer carbon brush including at least two electrically-conducting functional layers made from carbon material and at least one insulation layer made from an electrically-insulating material, running between consecutive functional layers. According to the invention, the corresponding multi-layer carbon brushes and the layers with desired thickness can be produced by applying the carbon material and the electrically-insulating material in a mold in a sequence corresponding to the layer sequence of the multi-layer carbon brush for production in powder form, then pressed and finally heat-treated.
