  • Publication number: 20230397768
Abstract: A stand mixer includes a column, a column rail mounted to the column and a bowl support mounted to the column rail such that the bowl support is vertically translatable along the column. A bowl is mounted to the bowl support. A fine adjustment apparatus is configured for adjusting a height of the bowl on the bowl support. The fine adjustment apparatus includes a cam rotatably mounted on the column. A cam tab on the column rail engages the cam. The cam and cam tab are configured such that the bowl support vertically translates in relation to the column as the cam rotates.

  • Patent number: 8857198
Abstract: A system and method for controlling an icemaker assembly to prevent premature ice harvests is provided. In particular implementations, normal icemaker operations, including ice cube harvesting, can be suspended when an ice cube level in an ice cube storage bin is detected to exceed a predetermined threshold or when a command is received to prevent harvesting. When a command to prevent harvesting is received, communication from an ice cube storage bin sensor can be disconnected, for instance, after a current harvesting cycle is complete. The communication from the ice cube storage bin sensor can be reconnected following a time interval or after receiving a command to re-start the normal operations.

  • Publication number: 20140020423
Abstract: A refrigerator appliance is provided with features for securing a dispenser to a door of the appliance. The dispenser can include a top wall, a bottom wall and a back wall that define a dispenser recess. An insert includes at least one of the top wall, the bottom wall, and the back wall. The insert is mounted to a back of a front panel of the door. As a result, the dispenser can have a trim-less appearance on the front panel of the door.

  • Patent number: 8423198
Abstract: An energy management system is provided for an appliance comprising: an interface to receive a schedule having an off-peak time segment and an on-peak time segment; a control to determine an operation to be performed by the appliance; a mode selecting device to select between an energy management mode and an immediate start mode. A controller includes a memory for storing the schedule and firmware to determine whether there is any off-peak time segments and other time sub-segments between a current time and a deadline for completing the operation. Upon selection of the energy management mode, the controller is arranged to initiate the operation, including a reduction in power consumption to complete the operation, when an amount of time required to complete the operation maximizes the off-peak time segment and sub-segments between the current time and the deadline.
