Patent number: 12141524Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for allowing users to specify interactive graphical designs are provided. The graphical designs can comprise multiple dimension versions—such as a tablet dimension version or a phone dimension version. Some of the methods involve an inheritance structure that defines a first dimension version of the design as a child of a second dimension version of the design. Specifications for properties of widgets in the graphical design are applied to the design in accordance with the inheritance specification. Some of the methods involve an inheritance characterization that determines how properties of a widget are affected by the inheritance structure across different dimension versions. Some of the methods involve an existence property for the widgets.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2022Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: Axure Software Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Victor Hsu, Martin Smith, Ian Gardner, Ben Fraser

Patent number: 12037220Abstract: An integrated monitoring panel for an elevator hoistway fire detection system is provided. The system includes a power supply, fault indicators for power and smoke detection, and alarm indicators for smoke and linear heat detection. The panel is configured to receive a terminus of a linear heat detection cable and a terminus of a smoke alarm detection piping. The panel includes a smoke detection test port that may receive simulated smoke and is connected to another terminus of the smoke alarm detection piping. A linear heat detection test switch triggers a test mode and interacts with the linear heat detection cable. During the test mode, the system circulates simulated smoke, analyzes air quality and electrical conditions, and activates corresponding alarm indicators. The performance of these functionalities helps determine whether the system meets operational criteria.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2023Date of Patent: July 16, 2024Assignee: The ADT Security CorporationInventors: Martin Smith, Ryan Sandler, Jeffrey Smith

Publication number: 20240142357Abstract: A system for analyzing the concentration of a first component in a sample fluid is described. The system provides a mixture of sample fluid and control fluid to a fluid concentration measuring apparatus in a controlled ratio. The system stores flow change model, representing the variation in time of the flow of the sample fluid through the system between a valving and the fluid concentration measuring apparatus in response to a variation of the controlled rate by the valving. The system estimates the concentration of the first component in the sample fluid based at least in part on the controlled ratio, and the flow change model.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Angela BEESLEY, Martin SMITH, Anthony CURTIS, Phoebe DUNN

Patent number: 11567944Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and systems for processing of sequencing data streams. The system receives sequences from a sequencer and stores them as data records on a database. The sequences are associated with a counter indicative of a number of times the associated sequence has been sequenced. The system progressively receives a further sequence as streaming data from the sequence. While receiving the further sequence, the system matches the streaming data against the stored sequences to determine a matching score. Upon the matching score exceeding a matching threshold for one of the multiple sequences in the database, the system selects the one of the sequences in the database based on the matching score and stores the further sequence on non-volatile memory where the counter value associated with the selected sequence is below a saturation threshold. The system also terminates the receiving where the counter value is above the saturation threshold.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2018Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: GARVAN INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL RESEARCHInventors: Martin Smith, James Ferguson, Dennis Bunadi

Patent number: 11348325Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses are presented for generating a photorealistic viewable model using augmented reality (AR). An AR scene is generated by overlaying a virtual object onto a view of a physical environment. When placed into the AR scene, the virtual object can interact with the physical environment by, for example, reflecting or taking on colors, shadows, brightness, and other attributes of the physical environment. To generate the viewable model, the virtual object is manipulated (e.g., moved or rotated) within the AR scene and a plurality of images are generated by capturing the virtual object as the virtual object is being manipulated. The viewable model can be generated based on one or more of the images and can be output in the form of an interactive presentation, for example, a spin image.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2021Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: CDS VISUAL, INC.Inventors: John Cameron Major, Aaron Martin Smith
