  • Patent number: 7427029
Abstract: A valuable document comprising at least one security element that is provided with a marking layer in a marking region, the layer containing an electroluminescent pigment and being applied to a carrier body. The electroluminescence of the pigment of one such valuable document must be able to be excited even with comparably low, externally applied field intensities. To this end, a plurality of electrically insulated field displacement elements having a minimum dielectric constant of 100 are distributed over the surface of the marking region, the field displacement elements being at a distance of approximately between 5 ?m to 500 ?m from each other and compressing the applied field in the gaps thereinbetween.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 2004
Date of Patent: September 23, 2008
    Assignee: Bundesdruckerei GmbH
Inventors: Anett Bailleu, Arnim Franz-Burgholz, Hans Demanowski, Daniel Grammlich, Manfred Paeschke, Konstantin Pötschke, Martin Sprenger

  • Patent number: 4251788
Abstract: To reliably hold a movable contact bridge carrier on a longitudinally slidable contact stem in position, even though subjected to severe vibration and shock, while still permitting free longitudinal movement of the stem carrying the contact carrier, the stem is passed through an opening formed in the magnetic yoke of the operating solenoid, and a clamping bushing, for example of tough, elastically deformable plastic, such as nylon, is placed in position to surround the stem where it passes through the opening, the bushing having spreader elements which extend radially outwardly to resiliently bear against the inner surface of the opening, the spreader elements merging into a cylindrical portion of the bushing surrounding the stem to hold the stem in centered, vibration and shock-absorbing position within the opening in which it is longitudinally movable.

  • Patent number: 4243964
Abstract: In order to effectively disconnect a contact bridge from fixed terminals, even though the contact bridge may be sticking to the contacts, or may be welded or hang, a plunger-type armature core is slidable within a central sleeve of a solenoid for a travel path which is in excess of the connecting path length of the contact bridge towards the fixed terminals. Upon disconnection, a spring returns the armature plunger and, with it, a switching rod which will pass through the overtravel path length before engaging the contact terminals, if the contact terminals should stick, thus exerting a blow against the connecting bridge and tearing it away from the contact terminals.
