    Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for supplying in at least one substantially continuous row onto a first conveyor belt products, particularly beaker-shaped articles open at the top such as metal cans, whereof at least the outer surface of the body is provided with a still wet lacquer layer, and transferring these products onto a second conveyor belt extending transversely of the first conveyor belt, which apparatus includes a pick-up device for picking up products in successive groups from the first conveyor belt, displacing the products parallel to themselves and depositing these groups of products in rows extending transversely of the direction of the second conveyor belt, which pick-up device is equipped for gripping the products from the top, wherein the speed of the pick-up device relative to the first and second conveyor belts is substantially zero during respectively picking up and depositing of the products.
