  • Patent number: 10464513
Abstract: The present invention relates to a front bumper system for a vehicle. A pair of front side members is arranged along a front-rear direction of the vehicle and arranged on opposite sides of the vehicle and on opposite sides of a cross member structure of the vehicle. Pair of crash box units are mechanically fixated to the front side members. A front bumper is laterally disposed and mechanically fixated to each of the crash box units. A lateral push element is mechanically fixed to one of the crash box units and being arranged to provide a load transfer path via the cross member structure towards the opposing front side member such that at least the front side member on the side of the lateral push element is moved towards the opposing front side member in the event of a crash.

  • Patent number: 7086801
Abstract: A coupling arrangement for enabling fixing of a body structure member and a structure member. The coupling arrangement includes, at least two threaded tubes provided one in either end portion of a passage through a housing. The housing is fixed attachable in relation to the structure members and includes a threaded passage, wherein a threaded bolt is arranged through the passage. The threaded bolt is adapted to connect the body structure member and the structure member in a coupling position, from which coupling position the threaded bolt, via inserts, enables adjusting operation of the threaded tubes in opposite directions along the threaded bolt. Thus, the threaded tubes are adjustable to a respective fixed position by screwing the threaded bolt.

  • Patent number: 6705670
Abstract: A stabilized frame assembly 32 for a motor vehicle 10 including a pair 34 of forwardly directed brace members 36, 38. Each brace member 36, 38 of the pair 34 is coupled at a forward end 40 to an impact receiving assembly 46 such as a front bumper assembly. The brace members 36, 38 are coupled for support at a rearward end 42 to a respective one of a pair 48 of stabilized support arrangements 50, 52. Each of the stabilized support arrangements 50, 52 are configured to resist deformation under the influence of crash related impact forces having magnitudes in a manageable design range for the stabilized support arrangement 50, 52. Each of the pair of stabilized support arrangements 50, 52 are constructed to include a plurality of support legs 56 that are configured so that loads or forces transmitted from the supported brace member 36, 38 to the stabilized support arrangement 50, 52 are distributed as substantially axial loads in the plurality of support legs 56.
