  • Publication number: 20240073638
Abstract: A method for self-calibrating a sound pickup process that uses a microphone array in a wearable device that also includes a loudspeaker, where the microphone array being in a physical arrangement with respect to the loudspeaker. The method obtains, for each of several microphones of the microphone array, one or more transfer functions that each represent a response of the microphone to sound from a position in an acoustic space. The method determines whether a physical arrangement of the microphone array with respect to the loudspeaker has changed and adjusts the transfer function, for at least one of the microphones of the several microphones, in response to determining that the current physical arrangement of the microphone array with respect to the loudspeaker has changed.

  • Patent number: 6025722
Abstract: An instrument for measuring resistivity of earth formations within azimuthal segments. The instrument includes azimuthally separated measure electrodes placed in contact with the wall of a wellbore penetrating the earth formations. The electrodes are placed in contact with the wall by springs, hydraulics or similar mechanisms. A guard electrode surrounds each measure electrode. The instrument includes a booster current electrode axially spaced apart from the guard electrodes. An insulator axially separates the guard electrodes from the booster electrode. Monitor electrodes are disposed on the exterior of the insulator. A first bucking current circuit is connected to the guard electrodes. The first bucking current constrains the flow of measuring currents from each measure electrode to a path substantially perpendicular to the axis of the instrument. A booster current circuit is connected to the booster electrode.

  • Patent number: 4586137
Abstract: Method for generating a composite logging data base from two separate historical data bases in a form suitable for further on-site computerized analysis and processing. A generalized system is provided for automatically producing, as a function of a plurality of elected options, an output which is either a merger of logging curves from the two data bases, a replacement of one or more logging curves or portions thereof from one data base with those of a correlative curve or curves from the second data base, or a splice of one or more logging curves from one data base derived over one borehole increment with a curve or curves from the second data base derived over a different borehole increment, with further provision for automated renaming and reordering of curves as they appear in the output as well as compatibility checks between the two data bases thus being combined in terms of logging parameters and borehole increments as a function of the elected option.
